<div class="IPBDescription">What is the point of this map?</div> Why was this map made, even more disturbing why is it being put on rotation. Its just a 100% win for marines. If the skulks cant end the game in the first 2 minutes its game over.
Marines can get JPs aeons before aliens can get a 2nd hive, and thats it.
Ive played this map 15 times today on 3 different servers, marines won everytime.

Marines willnot win everytime, unless the aliens suck that badly. ive been on the aliens on that map many times and won.
I tried it, it **** me off enough that i deleted it.
As for balance, I'd say that the resource model is to blaim for yet another imbalance. Marines are easily able to afford jetpacks and usually HMGs before aliens are able to put up defences, let alone a second hive. A marine team with at least decent aim that invests in mines will almost always win if they survive the initial rush. I have seen aliens win, by dropping down and attacking structures, while ignoring marines. Most alien teams will attempts to repeatedly drop and kill marines, a tactic that doesn't do anything to hurt the marine team. Constantly aborting marine's research, while purposely sacrificing themselves to mines to make the marines buy more, is the way for aliens to win this map.
Personally, I like to play this map after the "serious" maps get a bit repetetive. I've won many times as aliens, even beyond the initial rush, but this map is heavily in marine favor, and IMO the aliens have to outclass the marines as a team to have a chance at victory. (Or, the marines could have low-end frame rates, not allowing them to fly with a jetpack. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo--> )
I think its a fun map, the trick is to have the entire team dead exept for the gorge on the first part, so he gets more res.
P.S. a noob commander if preferable if all of the aliens arn't "elite".

Answer me why you complain about a <i>custom</i> map on these forums.
Mappers are free to create what they want, admins are free to upload what they wish, players are free to connect to whatever server they deem worthy. End of story.
If you want to give feedback about the map, contact the mapper. This is nothing but pointless bashing.
