    honestly... don't give people advice if you have no clue what you're talking about... it will just confuse them more.

    I assume what you want is to insert a drawing or something into one of the viewports so that you can kind of trace in it in 3D.... I've done this technique for both piggorge and chickenlerk and it's fairly simple. Just go into the views menu and select "viewport background..." and you should come up with a window where there is a section called "background sorce" where you press "files..." and choose the background. The rest of the options will just make things work better, like locking the image sizes...

    i just told him the way I did it... i build a reference model.... then use max... yuo gunna let me know how to use textporter? (use the sid's pistol thread though)

    alternatively, you can assign it as a texture onto a plane
    that works quite well too as ou have more control over it
    remember to set the view to 50% opacity or less if you do it this way though
