who's listening?
As the topic says, when I use the voice feature (microphone) in halflife (cs/ns), who hears what I say? As a marine when I scream "I'm all out of ammo, and there's a fade around the corner!" will the fade player hear? Will all players hear? Will only marines hear? How does it work?!
Thanks.
Thanks.

For most games, sv_alltalk is the deciding factor for this, but it is usually set to "0" so that voice comm stays intra-team.
Well I don't. The yellow speaker icon. I don't get it when I'm in the CC and I use voicecom.

hmm
If you bind your voicecomm to your mouse, when you get into the comm chair your voicecomm will no longer work. So anyone who ever plans on commanding, make sure your voicecomm is bound to a key instead.
Dunno if that's your prob or not SoulSkorpion.
Probably best to have two keys bound to mic, one to use as commander and one to use as a normal player.

I now have mouse3 and g set to +voicerecord.
If you need ammo, health, need an order etc use the Command menu. The commander can jump to events just happened with his +jump button. But the mic speech is not counted as an event yet.
So if you scream "I NEED AMMO!!!111ONEONE" in the mic, you wont accomplice anything but freak out your commander. (Witch have to scroll the whole minimap to find your sorry @$$)
Summed in 3 words: Use the commandmenu.
Did you turn on the +20 dB boost in the volume controls and check to see that the recording volume is all the way up? Maybe that would make you easier to hear.
