<div class="IPBDescription">SUCKS</div> Hi, I'm sure some of you are familiar with the
Roob's *No Time For Muppets* NS 1.04 (163.1.180.217:27016) server
run by Roobbubba
I played there yesterday, and he seemed to be a pretty cool guy, so I told him I would play there more often with my non-noob friends...
I went back in the evening, a new round just started, i went to stand in the "marine-entrance" and some guy named DMS walked up to the same entrance and said
"move, DMS is going marines" as we all know, every lame **** said this, so i read the message, and as soon as i had read it, he kicked me off the server. Apparantly that guy was an admin 2. I went back in, to ask him why he kicked me => because i didn't listen! The guy gave me barely two seconds to move, and everyone says "**** off and go aliens" in NS. I told him that he didn't even give me enough time, and that it wasn't a very polite thing to do, and then he changed my name into "Llama"... i couldnt say anything in the game anymore, and then Roobbubba changed it into "I'mnotaLLama"... so I shut down the game, because i was pretty annoyed by this... BECAUSE I DIDN'T CALL HIM NAMES, SWEAT OR DID ANYTHING ELSE THAN NOT MOVING WITHIN TWO SECONDS AND NOT KNOWING HE WAS AN ADMIN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So I l8er on, I wanted to get back into HL to change my name back, and my game would run for two seconds and then it would crash... EVERY TIME... I didn't make any systemchanges WHATSOEVER!!!
So I had to re-install my game all over again, including all mods.
I go back tonight and tell them "changing someone's name is one thing, but making them re-install their whole game isn't funny." And he said he didn't do anything, I asked him what he had done with my HL-game, and off course he was innocent, i asked him again, no swearing or rude language WHATSOEVER,
and he does it again.... So guess what.... MY GAME IS DEAD AGAIN
I mean, I sure as hell won't go back there anymore, but what I would like to know, if something can be done against them, or how i can contact them to ask them once more what the hell they think they are doing...
This is very, very sad....

Being as there is no central governing power over server YOU CANT DO ANYTHING.
Just don't go back. It's not worth getting annoyed at someone like that. Go find a different server you can call home where the ops are abusive.
There is some good team work on this server actaully, I'll ask roob what this was all about if I meet him... Your nick is also Guido?

Cl_Parse_Error protocol is 92148901234 should be 23
or somthing similar.....
anyone here know what that means? or if that is a popular admin abuse method?
the only way i'm able to fix it is to reinstall the game....
btw....never ever go on sniper lust servers...ever

about that error message thing, its a bug in the game affecting all of us I think. It happens whenever ur kicked or lose connection to a server and enter that or another game. However the bug is fixed when I exit NS and go back in. If that doesnt work, try a reboot.
It's just that roob seemed to be a pretty nice guy, and th teamwork on the server was great, and it was really exciting to play....

Amen, Sniper Lusts is crap, I'll go only if I get an appology, and thats saying a lot. Especially since its THERE server... what a crappy admin that guy was though...

Guido: I am sorry that you've had problems with your computer. Let me assure you that whatever problem it is, it was <b>not intentionally caused by any admin</b>. DMS is a close personal friend of mine, I know him to be a very tolerant and nice person indeed. I do accept that he may have "kicked" you in haste, and I have spoken with him about this. In his defence, he doesn't get long to play at a time due to huge work commitments at the minute, but this is by no means an exoneration from any potential wrongdoing.

I am truly sorry if llama -> then unllama does anything else, in fact I need to know to let the adminmod team know as this could be a very serious bug with their code.
As for Xiller, I banned [NK]Nick because he annoyed absolutely everyone on the server constantly with his arrogant "I am the best" voice comm spam, not to mention that he would vote out <i>anyone</i> from the commander's chair (getting the rest of the clan to do the same) just because <i>he</i> wanted to do it. This even happened to me on several occasions (yes I sometimes play under alias to check up on what happens on the server when I'm not there). THAT is why Nick was banned.
And for the rest of you doubters, I take adminning my server EXTREMELY seriously. Those of you who've simply said "taken off the list" are missing out, shame about that if you're good teamplayers.

It's a shame that when bad publicity happens, for whatever reason, it's the good honest players who seem to suffer. That's a Roobism.

dms retry'd you so he could get onto marines, where 3 of his close personal friends were playing. This happened so quick because hwas only around for one game anyway, and we've had a problem with RR idlers of late.

So there you have it. It was me who llama'd you, because in game is not the place for resolving any problems. sv_contact is there for a reason, and as I said in a PM to you it can be viewed from third party scanner programs.
For all those of you who thought dms had any blame in this and responded in the way you did, you can frankly go and f*** yourselves.
Again I'm sorry if your copmuter problems were due to the llama command, but there was no other command used, nor intent for any damage to your system or setup. I will gladly help you sort out any problems with these you may have, and you're welcome to come back to the server.
I didn't want to air the dirty laundry in public, but as it shows dms has no blame here, so his name should be cleared.
It is a testament of my respect to you that I unllama'd you only 1 minute and 7 seconds after using admin_llama. Again, the reason I used that command was because you were disrupting the game.
I draw attention to dms' talk and the fact that he also tried to unllama Guido without having done anything or said anything abrasive to him (after the initial retry which he is perfectly within his rights to do).
The further outcomes with your system are as regrettable as they were unforseeable.
I won't air what you said the next day as the language is too graphic and it took me long enough to go through that log removing all the wonids anyway.
As far as I'm concerned, this topic is closed. If anyone still has any doubts as to the quality of my server, come along and find out. If you don't, then don't slander me or my admins on the forum as has been done in this thread.

The only problem I have with it is that clicking to respawn thing...
Aside from that its a decent server with decent people and it actually has players on at decent hours of the day....
