Suggestion For Better Reins

Here is something quite simple that they could change in the next version that, I think, would make the Mariens a lot better.

Make the max amount of extra lmg ammo you can hold 150 and for the pistol 20, and as you get weapon upgrades they can hold more.

I find early game the worst for ammo humping.
"Come on guys go through that pg!.... guys? GUYS!..... nevermind its gone."

How many times have you lost a game because everyone on your team is filling up ammo when the delayed rush comes and your whole team is eatten? <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->

    1) This is not strategy.

    2) Trying to force players to fix their bad habits by changing game mechanics is a bad idea. Just teach the players better. Changing the game mechanics for something like this will probably cause more trouble than it fixes.

    He's right in the fact that it's not strategy, but it's a good idea, stick it in the Suggestions forum. Players that know what they're doing don't load up to more than 150 anyways, and when I tech up to lvl 2/3 weapons, it's easy to let your marines hump because you know they might live longer, and actually use that ammo. So... not bad.

    I don't like that cuz more than half the time I actually use up all my ammo and end up having to kill myself to get more ammo.

    Same as giving the commander the ability to shut the armoury off will result in

    n00b1: "comm the armoury isn't giving out ammo"

    comm: "I know I shut it off to stop you humping it, move to your wp"

    n00b2 "comm turn the armoury back on ffs"

    comm: "NO, get through the phase gate now"

    "***COMMANDER HAS BEEN EJECTED***"

    Wouldn't it be better to let the marines take more ammo at a time.
    I'm thinking entire mags, no the silly 1/2 ones.
    I mean, why take half mags when you can grab full ones?

    Armory humpers who dont listen to comm would never apply to clan play, and would hinder clan play because people in clans DO you their entire clips....

    Funny, it depends how much you rambo or solo defend. I am PERMANENTLY running out of ammo. Always. But I do tend to go for long periods with no contact with spawn, and I don't ever run back for health. (What's the point, spending rez at 2 per shot on me, when I'm free?)

    True that getting ammo takes time, and time is valuable. Explaine to new people this equation

    armoury humping = lose

    and then when you do lose bring it up again, and again, and again until they get the picture

    see-you.. armory humping != or does not equal lose if the marine is good enough to use all of this ammo.

    I assume you are implying that the marine who is able to use all his ammo, this man in your mind, is a good player and can make appropriate decisions, as opposed to the possibility that he is invisible to aliens and has nonexistent aim.

    I do go on killing sprees but I don't load to max. By the time I'm out I'm either majorly ramboing and distracting the enemy, or comm gives me a few and team backup has at last arrived.

    i dont trust myself with so much ammunition. bullets scare me. im scared they will explode in my face if i take too much. but im MORE SCARED OF MY LMG BLOWING UP WITHOUT ENOUGH BULLETS. NO NO 49/250 BULLETS ARE NOT ENOUGH! MY LMG IS NOT FULL! I WILL T3H DIE! OMG!!1!1!1!one

    well ive said this before..

    wanna stop marines humping armories in base?

    then stick the armory in the hive locations

    or other key mini bases.
