Got half your health, been "para'd". Simply tell your comm to stop med spamming you and trot off in the opposite direction to the hive your team is trying to secure. You may waste a <!--emo&::skulk::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/skulk.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='skulk.gif'><!--endemo--> along the way or draw a few of 'em away from your team-mates .
At least you won't die in vain! <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> <!--emo&::asrifle::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/asrifle.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='asrifle.gif'><!--endemo-->

only thing to do really
-- if i have important equipment
--- if there are lots of ppl around me going the same way -> go with them but stay behind
--- if not -> defend base
-- if not -> play catch with aliens going in a direction were NOBODY ELSE would go to.
Keep in mind if you don't move, you show up exactly the same as a parasited building does.
Many times a greedy Skulk has come in expecting to take out an Arms Lab only to meet a shotgun barrel.
If you aren't doing anything important, and you get parad, go ahead and die. Take out a res or dc while you're at it. Only problem: why aren't you doing something important (guard something, build something, group up and assault something)?
Of course, if the game's victor is decided without a doubt, go do whatever you feel like. Maybe even with a shotgun.
If you know where an empty res node is, you can go and sit there. The gorge won't even bother going to it, if he thinks its occupied. Sit there, and play a sad tune on your harmonica, LMG at your side, and pistol on your lap. Damn, marines, gotta be so tough.
Communicate for christ sake. If you comm knows 3 marines out of the 4 he was going to send are parasited he can adjust his tactics. If not and he says "you 4 go here" and you all run of in the other direction like muppets he will most likely be very anoyed.
The aliens already know where the base is (if they aren't n00bs that it xD) and so it doesn't matter if they can see you on the hive site. They might not know that you are in your base, so they coming running in, and get turned into a stain by your LMG and/or turrets.
Also it does no harm having some extra defence while you comm is busy securing a hive. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> <!--emo&::sentry::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/turret.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='turret.gif'><!--endemo--> <!--emo&::sentry::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/turret.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='turret.gif'><!--endemo--> <!--emo&::sentry::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/turret.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='turret.gif'><!--endemo--> <!--emo&::onos::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tiny.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tiny.gif'><!--endemo-->
Only time I "Kill "myself is if I got low health and am in the base or Comm says "get to base for HA HMG" <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

I beg to differ, Parasite is a life threatening disease, and it's highly contagious.
Generally if the comm needs my skills he will call upon me.
On good servers I will cooperate much more. In which case the comm will also trust my decision to rambo. I will no longer be among the best anyway so will wait until equipment spam to get my toys.
PS Of course I follow orders and such unless they are stupid. I use sense as well eg building arms lab upon spawn instead of humping. Stuff like that. Or take out hives, sneak phase, intercept reinforcements, etc but now a lot of those are ramboish anyway, so, in conclusion, I have fun <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
Aliens arent retarded folks, and unless their humping their gorge for a lil' bit o lovin' running off solo isnt going to save your team much, a patrolling skulk will find the marines en route and notify his/her team and then their all on their way to stop you.
The only 2 cases I ask for a death or a distraction run is when I <u>really</u> need to ninja my way into something, in which case I'll send a pair, 1 parasite, 1 no parasite off in common siege place or something; or if its in the beginning of the game I'll just have them ~kill so aliens arent tracking our intial movements easily.(Although this is usually nullified in about a minute or so by the paragraph above <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo--> )
when parasited press ;
tehn stay still and let teh comm decide what you do
he says go kil ur self
you do
he says gaurd that**** RT you miserable****.
you do that
simple
1. Offer to play welder man/builder/base defender if it's early game and your comm is struggling to build in your base or a hive you've secured.
2. Mention to the comm that I'm 'sited and aks if he'd like to use me as a decoy.
However, don't forget that just because you aren't 'sited you can still play a decoy. More then once I've drawn away attention from a column of approaching rambos by knifing a res node or just LMGing a hive. Pump one clip into a hive, and every Kharaa this side of the Mississippi will come running.
Often, the aliens know where the marine strike team is since they'll be chatting over voice comm. What one alien sees is probably known by the rest of the team regardless of hivesight. You're not losing a huge stealth element...unless you're doing something really sneaky (Secret PG or Siege) as was mentioned.
The real key is to realize whether or not you have motion tracking. If you do, then you and the aliens are simply on an even footing. Marines have the range advantage - if both a marine and an alien can see each other coming, the marine will come out on top.
I stayed alive a while and forgot i had the parasite, and when we went to refinery comm told us to crouch walk so we wouldnt make noise and i remebered. It was like 'stop making all that noise dont want aliens to find us' me: 'umm....i have a parasite'
