The Infamous Hitbox

Anyone know how to get past it?
Ok, now I've done a full forum search and whilst there's been a lot of talk about the hitbox bug on marines I've found little that actually indicates how to negate it. I ask this because I'm just sick and tired of crouching marines knifing me
So my plea goes out: Does anyone here know how do hit those crouching marines? Barring that, does anyone know the best place to hit them?

The entire upper-torso region (chest, shoulders, head, AND the space above the shoulders, up to the height of the head) is one big hitbox on a HA dude!
And when he crouches, it seems to be one big mess of hitboxes.. (with the same feature as above)
The Standard marine had a laarge big box, expanding out from his back - I figure that's where the JP goes.
When he ducks, its just a mess again..
I wonder if the bug is caused by different hitboxes interfering with each other..
If that's the case:
Attack JP'ers/LAs in the back.
Attack HA marines in the head.
Pure speculation though.
It's an explanation of why it happens by Wolfwings and how to overcome it. Basically just hold down crouch yourself and bite the marine as per normal

Thankyou THANKYOU Phoenix, I am FOREVER in your debt! The thread you linked me to had everything I needed to know, I am eternally thankful
In some places, marines are virtually invincible. The tiny tiny vent outside the marine spawn in ns_nancy is one of them; only area effect attacks and projectiles can hurt a marine there. If you enter that vent, prepare to be knifed.
Here is a fun trick to do with crouching though..
Run as a skulk while contionously tapping your crouch button. Since crouching seems to reset the walking sound or something, you can turn 1 skulk into 3 skulks. Good players or people with headphones will be able to tell the difference from the sound of 1 Skulk coming and 3 Skulks coming. This is a nifty little trick that will throw them off. Of course it only makes you sound like 3 Skulks... Doesn't actually make you into 3 Skulks..
