I've discovered NS about three month before it was released (I had another handle before they switched forums programs) and I don't consider myself a vet.

Yeah...I remember when seiges didn't need spotting and 2 hive lockdowns were pretty much THE way to win. Those were the days...fades were godly becuase as soon as the second hive went up, fades appeared. Thank god for the upped re cost.

Man 1.0 was fun... the biggest thing i remember was 1.0-.3 on a linux server with no motion tracking. You're a vet if... - You've used an AK-47 to shoot grenades in NS. - You remember the alien codenames (Blinky, bob, etc.), and the Level1 through level5 system. - You remember the comms who would just drop piles of health in main base... and it wouldn't dissapear. - You remember using spawn ammo a lot, because the armory was upgrading. - You think of lag spikes as 1.0 'manifesting itself'.

- u went comm and immidiatly at the beginning listened to the heartbeat of the hive and send the marines to the other 2 hives (and drop a pg), and when the gorge was the first one to notice this (tooo freakin late)
- u saw observers ingame and told ppl a thousand times that they cannot hear or read ur chat
- u thought NS would be released with starcraft sounds, well actually it could had been, becuz i joined after the first release...
