<div class="IPBDescription">Lerk-Lift, etc.</div> I personally like Lerk-Lift (Lerks can carry any other alien by hitting the use key on them. Get a gorge from one side of the map to the other in seconds.) and Hand Held Seiges (Pistol and Parasite each make an explosion almost as strong as a seige where you shoot them).

    i personally love /stuck. Many times i have had gorges/commanders place buildings on me. The choice was basically to kill yourself then run back. While this may not hvae been a problem with lmg marines and skulks, it is with almost anything but.

    However it does attract the exploiters.

    The porasiege sounds a bit overpowered IMO

    Lerk lift is debatably good.

    Hand-held sieges is stupid.

    Health-giving armories changes game balance too much.

    Marine audible motion tracking (free) is very annoying.

    Laser pointers on marine weapons are annoying, detrimental to marines, and useless.

    The unstuck plugin is the best by far.

    Sensory chambers that cloak alien buildings are cool
    I don't think the Health dispensing armory changes balance too much, especially when weighed against Voogru's other mods. It just allows for aliens to get more armory humper kills

    Didn't like Lerk Lift. I personally haven't ever seen PhaseEQ work. I find it better to just hand the marine the health anyway, since it costs too much at one time to throw a bunch of health into the phase.

    /stuck mod is a MUST HAVE. Anything else is not exactly needed.

    I second that , didn't see the use at first when I was new , then started using it to get out of messy offense chambers / RTs , rebelious doors and ill placed IPs. Today I played a fun match on Caged (aliens didn't stand a chance , it was 11on11) and destroyed the fade's hive in Ventilation using JP+GL... when moving to generator the comm had the strange idea to build a new base on the long corridor (to win faster ? we were all HA/JP shotty/HMG/GL) and built a CC <i>right on me</i>.
    The server didn't have /stuck implemented to I angrily spammed "/STUCK ! /UNSTUCK ! arrgh" until I emptied my weapon out of rage. (too lazy to type /kill in the console <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->)

    From what I can gather this is very controversial, but I actually like everything Voogru have implemented, health at marine spawn doesnt totally change balance, it just means if u have a bad comm you dont die as much (it doesnt help your armor and therefore there is still some damage left), and cloaking alien buildings with sensory chambers is great, marines walk round a corner and suddenly green slime attacks them from no-where, very funny watching voogru-newbies try to work out whats happening. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    I guess I like practical stuff better, like /stuck and Hive Health plugins.

    The /stuck plugin is the most useful. THe lerk lift is a great idea and I really like it. I don't like PhaseEQ because if a marine binds a key to "Medpack" he gets god mode...

    PhaseEQ has a timedelay so you can't spam health/ammo Reqs (something I liked)

    honestly I have played with:
    PhaseEQ, HealthArmoury, ComGhost, Laserpointers, alien Rez shareing, status

    I like:
    PhaseEQ (Its interesting), Alien Rez shareing (again interesting), HealthArmoury(again ...)

    I Love:
    Unstuck, and Status (you look at a friendly and you get their name, HP, AR, and rez it is VERY useful, you can tell how close you are to second hive, who needs welding etc)

    and I HATE:
    LaserPointers (exept when I am Alien, so most of the time, its a friggen eat me sign ;D)
    CommGhost, this is one of them's ideas, basicaly it makes this fuggen hooge particle showere where the comm is looking (very anoying in battles b/c the 'rines can't see anything)

    I wana f around with lerklift ;D

    i dislike: armories that give health, giving res. It changes the game too much.

    I disagree totally. CommGhost is great. The particle effect is small and hardly obstructs your view... your muzzle flash is likely to be a bigger problem. Furthermore, it lets marines know where the commander is directing his attention. In my experience it has led to greater cohesivness, and gives some marines a better sense of security. Kinda like havin' big brother watchin' over your shoulder <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->


    Well.. i might as well give my opinion on other mods aswell..

    1. Lerklift: Fun, but I seem to have no trouble getting from hive to hive as a gorge without it.

    2. Audio Tracking: Excellent. Turn it on whey you're building an RT.

    3. Phase EQ: Takes a major burden off the commander's hands... somebody mentioned that it takes too long to drop meds in the phase... well... it takes twice as long to drop a med pack on 5 marines who call for it at once. And the newer version of PhaseEQ has a delay between the request and the drop, effectively ending the JP health spam.

    4. Status: well.. its always nice to know who's with you, and if they're gonna die soon.

    5. Seige Pistols/Parasite: I get bored with this really quick. But its fun when the admin just turns it on for a round or two. Its just a mess-around thing.

    6. I REALLY don't like the mod which adds a limit of one gorge per hive... seems like it adds an unnatural limit to alien strategies. I can only see it as a mod for servers with a lot of new players, because those are the people who double up on gorge at the one-hive stage.

    7. Lasers on Guns: uuuuuugghhhhhh. I won't even say anything.

    8. Health Giving Armories: Nice when the marine base is under seige, but even then acid and bile drop you faster that you can heal. Not very useful unless you've got the time to just sit around in base. You have to be really close to it to feel the effect and it only gives out 3 or 6 hp per tick... depending on whether its upgraded or not.

    For countering marine tech-rushes NOTHING beats GorgeRes. I have come to a love/hate relationship depending which team I am on with this mod. BTW, in a 6v6 with this mod you can all run to one hive, one gorge, and start it building before the marines are done with their armory. We timed it.

    i like the handheldsiege one but only for playing around
    i can see where it wouldnt be any good for serious play...
    the /stuck plugin is the most helpful
    i think the coolest one is voogru's fireworks plugin
    its not only for ns but if u can get in a map with tall rooms(like missilecommand)
    it looks really cool when about 40 fireworks shoot up

    stuck is the best.

    I like the resource sharing on Voogru's server.. funny thing is, even after giving the gorge about 50 res to start with the aliens still get HMG+JP rushed.. oh well.

    This is a reason why I don't like the GorgeRes mod. Doesn't anyone see how totally unbalancing that is? Most of the time (in non-modded servers), the aliens can get a second hive quick enough as it is.

    And to think people complain on normal servers.... I couldn't imagine what these forums would like if that feature were built into NS.

    I really like the mod where you can see the hive's health by looking at it. /stuck is great too though.
