<div class="IPBDescription">A clean outlet for gameplay changing mod</div> Many of you over the last few months have seen the outburst of creativity from our local MetaMod guru's churning out dozens of plugins. Plugins that range from bug fixes, to gameplay enhancement, to outright gameplay modification. Yes, some of you have taken a fair bit of heat over disturbing the balance of the game. And some of you have raised valid points regarding the fact that the development team would like it if a player regardless of location was able to connect to any NS server and get the same experience.
We all know that no one is going to stop writing plugins, nor should they! These plugins provide a creative outlet for new ideas, some of which, it wouldn't surprise me actually make it into future versions of NS.
I've been thinking about a way to provide some sort of solution for all these mods for the past few months (in addition to working on other projects). And I believe I've found it. I've created a site, to serve the growing community of modified servers -- that is servers running modifications that impact gameplay (LerkLift, GorgeRes, HealthDispenser etc..).
The new site is called: Modified Selection, and the domain name is <a href='http://modNS.org' target='_blank'>http://modNS.org</a>. The goal of this site, is to provide a "ring" or "network" if you will, of servers which are CLEARLY labled "Modified Selection" including the domain name, and are clearly labled in connection greeting, that they are servers which are heavily modified.
RobinHood, and myself are hosting out of our own pocket, the first modNS server off our California server. <b>If you are interested in joining your server to this network, you'll have to meet the expectations outlined here: <a href='http://forums.modns.org/viewtopic.php?t=22' target='_blank'>http://forums.modns.org/viewtopic.php?t=22</a></b>
This site isn't just for people who have servers. The site is hosting forums with dedicated sections to Metamod, AdminMod, ClanMod, and AMXMod coding. Please don't flame this post. The intent is not to detract from NS, or to steal users, or anything even remotely close to this. My intentions with this site are to provide a more clearly defined and obvious outlet for plugin coders, and the people who enjoy their work.

I'm proud to announce an update in the arena that is modNS, and that is that we now have 2 servers, and Psychostats for both servers. As well, as NS1 is going into C-D REQUIRED mode as of today.
The servers are listed on our main page here: <a href='http://modNS.org' target='_blank'>http://modNS.org</a>

In other news:
NS4 (formerly NS1) is back online, and according to our provider, should no longer suffer from the random lag spikes caused by an upstream router. I haven't confirmed this yet, but its back online for those willing to test.
I've also added the new marine SelfWeld which is a nice improvement to marines to help balance them out against aliens a little more.
(bump it?)
The result was the new and improved <a href="http://www.nsmod.org/forums/index.php" target="_blank">modNS Community Forums</a> - <b>THE</b> place to not only get every conceivable plugin imagineable for NS servers, but to get server support, mapping help, and any type of assitance regarding Natural Selection. As shown, the new domain is <a href="http://www.nsmod.org/forums/index.php" target="_blank">www.nsmod.org</a> - stop by and see us. <img src="http://www.nsmod.org/forums/style_emoticons/default/taz.gif" border="0" alt="IPB Image" />
TOP SECRET INFORMATIONS: Reports state that prodigy let the domain expire because he wanted the community to die peacefully.

This message brought to you by the Coalition To Stop Smiley Spam. Helping to reduce the effect of the <img> tag on what should be blocks of text.
It wound up working out for the best, and remains one of the NS community's most active forums. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink-fix.gif" />
Just FYI for anyone who searches for modNS.org looking for support and finds this thread.
