<div class="IPBDescription">what the hell? help!</div> Well, i've been working on my map recently, and when i ran it for a test compile i discovered an error!(gasp!) I've mapped before, so i went in to pointfile the little bugger, but when i opened up mymap in NS, it came up with an error called <!--emo&::asrifle::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/asrifle.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='asrifle.gif'><!--endemo--> Bad surface extents:640/0

Does anyone know what this is? its stopping me mapping <!--emo&--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/mad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='mad.gif'><!--endemo-->

I recently got Bad Surface Extents in my map (when loading it up in NS, the same as erendor). However, there were no errors shown in the log apart from 115% lightdata usage. I believe that it is a result of an under/overscaled texture, but I cannot of the life of me find out where.

If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated.

caused by textures scaled larger than 10x-100x and smaller than 0.1x

    Ooh, Fam's making a map?

    For some more info...

    "Bad surface extents"
Caused by some dodgy texturing (either from scaling them up, or clipping) or an invalid solid
» Check for errors; fix any occurrence of "texture axis perpendicular to face"
» Scale down any textures that have been scaled up greater than 10 or so times
» Use a lower -chop value (if you're not using the default value)
