Quality Over Quantity

I know the devs are practicing a policy of quality over quantity which is to
be applauded. But I'm afraid patience is not my strongest point and to me it's beginning
to look like quality over absolutely nothing. I myself though hardly representative of the community
hardly play anymore. I'm just waiting for 1.1.
My point being that I think the community would benefit in terms of size and dynamicsism (<-spelling?)
if 1.1 was released relatively soon. I fear that since playtesting hasn't even started yet
it's going to be a long looong time till 1.1 which as I say can't benefit the community.
p.s. This is not critiscism (heaven forbid) just an observation.
About me, I am no noob I've been playing since the first hour it was released
I have played every conceivable tactic on both teams multiple times.

Did you ever wait that year that Blizzard delayed nearly all of their games from the original release date. Those 3 years between the announcement and the release of C&C:TS, only to see it suck.
dont know where this is going, so i am done.
Have patience, young grasshoppers.
it could be worse <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
Have patients grasshopper. Go play Super Metroid. It will come in time.
…….Unless the dev team gets hit by a bus.
or
a less buggy....... as close to balanced as possable version of 1.1 that comes out ________

Exactly I'd rather have the first and then a couple of smaller updates to
follow tweaking it than having to wait ages for one fully tested and perfect in all ways update.
But I guess that's just me. I don't mind bugs or inbalances that much
as long as it's playable which I'm sure 1.1 almost is.

You should be glad you weren't completely absorbed by Duke Nukem 3D. Otherwise you'd be tearing your hair out. :)
Even worse than DN3D... Ever played Freespace 1 and 2? It's going to be a long wait before we ever see a "next version" of the Freespace Saga. Ditto with the System Shock series.
Maybe if you plead with Flayra to let you playtest... Hah!
Btw, my example owns all the previous ones. Diablo2? Meh, at least it GOT to 1.09b. Sequels? Thats sequels, nowhere near as frustrating as a patch. Nerny, nerny, nerny, I win. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
Surprised no-one mentioned Starcraft, peeps been waiting for that at least as long as the Diablo2 patch.
