What really scared me was the little message at the forum login saying that it was temporarily closed do to legal actions by Blizzard. I came to the forums before I checked the main page and since a few of us have been making Starcraft models for NS, I thought it was real.

I mean, we all know the whole game is basically HL:Starcraft, but for Flayra to use such an obvious name is hilarious.
Forget Orkz, we don't want NS to look like its ripping something off that isn't Starcraft, so the third race should be called the Lotoss a proud and strong bipedal alien race whose whole culture is oriented towards battle.
The Lotoss should be able to cloak all the time, and their Plasma sheilds should recharge instantly. Also their Plasma blades should do approximately 400-500 damage each swing (rough estimate) and instead of building RTs, little "Probes" should go to each node on the map and collect 20-30 Res every second (again rough estimate)
For balance sake of course. . .
Also you forgot to add multiple resources, all good games have more than one resource because this add balance automatically. Instead of just one boring Res, I suggest Gold, Copper, Iron, Wood, Food, Gems to make things more interesting.

Anyone surprised by something they read on the internet AT ALL, not to mention ON APRIL 1st, has clearly not seen more then 10-12 summers. "LOL NUBS" is what I'd have to say to that! Guys... just so you know, this will push the date of 1.1 release back to June of next year as each map must be modified to include Orc camps and production facilities. I also heard that new taunts will be added to each race so that "Guns don't kill people.... I DO!" will be spammed every time a marine gets a kill.

Upkeep... may not be a bad idea, as long as it's paid in cold, hard cash. Preferably directly into my pocket, if at all possible - after all, the gameplay side of it only values that the upkeep is being paid, not who gets the money, and I'm as good (if not better) at getting money as anyone.
Have to say I prefer the more subtle jokes myself... the old site closed for legal action is a classic if you can afford to lose a little bit of traffic.
It's the outright statements about copying WC3 that I find so funny.
