My Marine Models

<div class="IPBDescription">ummm...??</div> Ok here is the deal, i did not know where to put this post...so i'd rather not be flamed...but go right ahead.

My marine models have jet packs on them all of the time, i got use to this and thought nothing of it. But when i told one of my clan members he said his did not, then we went in a poll and some people had marines like this, and many did not.

I have the original ns, no skin mods...

I was wondering what i should do to change this, or are we just crazy...

BTW, i searched for this and had no finds, sorry if this has been posted.

you have high detail player models either off or on, change it and try that. halflife is trying to save you some RAM by using only one form of the marine instead of both.

edit: reinstallign would make your settings default.... but you would probably redo whatever changes you did to make this problem occur anyway.

    1. Go to your Half-Life/ns folder
    2. open the config.cfg with notepad or another text editor.
    3. Search the command : cl_himodels
    The default is : cl_himodels "0.000000"
Perhaps you accidentaly switched it to cl_himodels "1"
    Just turn it back to 0 and everything should be fine . <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    No just reinstall.
Its a known bug and reinstalling helps.

Of course reinstalling will help, the bug has to do with a setting that's been changed from the default.

Why on earth would anyone "just reinstall" when someone has given them the solution to the problem?

Well, when shutting down and rebooting doesn't clear a problem, a reinstall is the only thing that will. Fact.

I had the same problem, I think it is CS retail. Paladin's suggestion worked.

You would think there would be a section of the website with clear outlined problems like this with known fixes. *shrug*

I agree, all you had to do was type cl_himodels 0 in console. :D

lol, and if you didn't even feel like pulling down the con there is a CHECKBOX THAT FIXES THIS <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    lol, reinstall, reinstall, reinstall

    click checkbox

lool, never mind, for some reason NS doesn't have this check box (there are a few mods that have this type of problem that do have the check box)

ok, so you did have to do a con command <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
