    i know wendigo already said it, but I just want to stress how great gibgames is. I tried 4 different server hosts before finding gibgames. It's an amazing server that almost never has any problems. See for yourself 38.114.3.95:27015 [SoM] Sons of Metal - NS 1.04

    What exactly is the server ping? Like on average for say, sixteen people on Hera (which is know for its lag).

    with no poeple on one of their servers my ping was over a hundred and that was a small server too. if i were you i would not buy that server its prity much a rip off for their connection they are running their servers on they are over pricesing.

    if you need a server and have a clan i would let you use my server for pubing. i would give you or the leader some admin access but you would not be able to use the server for your matches or scrims just for pubing. so if u need that let me know cause right now the server is empity cause its a new server

    I just looked at the GibGames servers, in chicago, and they blow, the 2 they have up for demo, are disgusting, I would recommend everyone here against them. I ping 30 normally to chicago, 40 in high traffic, (this includes CHI Mayhem NS server), and the lowest I get to these Gib boxes are 80, and they spike like mad.

    You guys don't know hwat you're talking about. I have a gibgames server in friggin dalas! I live in NJ! I ping 60 all the time, even with the server full. I see all you people are trashing gibgames yet not one of you can offer up a better place to rent a server.

    It just mean they suck FOR YOU!

    It all depends on 2 things:
    1) Your ISP's connectivity
    2) Gib's ISP's Connectity

    No ISP should have a single backbone, but 3 at a minumum. At to pinch pennies, they could use Local ISPs instead of Major backbones such as lvl3, att, etc.
    This a great challange for both parties, you have my 15 hops between your ISP and this causing supa lag.

    Nexttime you get a bad ping to a server that is claimed as "awsome" run tracrt or SUYF.

    All my gibgames servers are in dallas. I have people from canada to new england to arizona connecting and their pings are fine. I live in Minnesota and I ping great there. And instead of complaining about a service why not offer him an alternative since no one has offered him places to rent but myself. I have looked at many services and for the money I pay, for the service I get and for the pings people get to my servers I am happy with it. Dont like it dont play on them.
