New Medpack Upgrade In V1.1

<div class="IPBDescription">What do you guys think about it?</div> Flayra told us last night in #natural-selection about a new upgrade for the Comm Chair. It may cost 15 resources to upgrade the <i>ABILITY</i> to drop medpacks.
I think thats a pretty cool tweak to the game, personally. I really think it should cut down on those games where crackshot marines rush your hive and go into "lockdown" mode where the comm drops them medpacks and ammo.
I think this will probably give the aliens a chance to survive past the first 10 minutes of the game.

I don't like the idea that you have to research dropping medpacks.
I agree, that medspam is bad, but i would rather see a prograssive healing (like when a Marine recives a medpack, his health will go up 10 points per second for a 5 second durationL;). This would give the Aliens a better chance to take down Marines that get health spammed.
Another thing related to Medpacks/Ammopack i would really like to see "fixed" is, that Aliens can the the "+50" or "Ammo recieved".. even through walls.
Although an Alien player SHOULD hear that, the Text gives a too good point where the Marine exactly is.

it also means aliens' 1st rush is now much more potent (altho no comms usually even attempt to drop meds to help because the marines SHOULD survive)
and IMO all rushing needs to be nerfed.....not just marines' rushing.....I hate quick games

Just increasing medpack cost would not have this effect at all.

Edit: On second thought I bet the ability is to be able to drop both ammo and medpacks.
If you give someone with an infection some antibiotics, they aren't healed instantly. Its a slow process that takes some time. Medpacks should be the same way.
Just change the story behind the medpacks. Instead of insta-healing, make it a nano-pack or something. The nanites repair the marine's wounds, slowly, not instantly.

As far as I can tell the ability to drop medpacks now has to be researched. Once it's been researched, you can drop them as normal. Prior to the upgrade I'm assuming they're unavailible.
I think medpacks cost enough already.
Also say the comm drops lots of medpacks in one spot either try and knock him out of his medpack spam or lerk spike him, each time you spike him he uses a medpack for only 18 hp
