from SC Ghost.. i've been trying to model off of a 2d pic which doesn't help but so far im pleased with the results. Similar to the other thread this is my first attempt at a model. Its slow but steady because im trying to learn how to best model certain areas. I have few questions about using MS3D and would also like some feedback. Question 1: if i make a box and wish to take a rectangular piece out of it how would i do that? I'm not sure how best to explain it. As an example, on the slide of a glock there are grooves that cut into it. I want to kno how you make cuts like that. Secondly how do i find the poly count of the gun and what would a resonable count be for this type of gun. thanks for any feedback/answers

The scope probably looks odd because you have inverted faces. Set the shading to flat shade and look for some black faces.
The Scope's definatly wierd. But hey, if that's how it looks in the game and you want to keep it like the original, do it. I like it though!
no the faces r fine im just saying the shape is strange.. probably cause im working off a 2d image. all i have to do now is learn how to mesh and animate and im set!

Since we have the LMG C-20, and The HMG Gauss rifle.
The thickness would be perfect for a GL, methinks.
