W00t I Played My First Round As Comm Today

<div class="IPBDescription">and we won!</div> I’ve been playing Ns for about 2 months but have just recently begun to read the forums and today I tired com. It was an 11v11 game so I was a little weighed to the marines but it was cool to be in control.

The map was ns_eclipse and the aliens starting hive was eclipse. I had my marine rush to maintenance and get a phase and some <!--emo&::sentry::--><img src='http://www.natural-selection.org/forums/html/emoticons/turret.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='turret.gif'><!--endemo--> turrets up there <!--emo&::sentry::--><img src='http://www.natural-selection.org/forums/html/emoticons/turret.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='turret.gif'><!--endemo-->. Next we took a few nodes and mined them. Then we checked comp core and the aliens had towers in it, <!--emo&::gorge::--><img src='http://www.natural-selection.org/forums/html/emoticons/pudgy.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='pudgy.gif'><!--endemo--> but no hive yet. We were sneaky and set up siege outside and took it <!--emo&::sentry::--><img src='http://www.natural-selection.org/forums/html/emoticons/turret.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='turret.gif'><!--endemo--> <!--emo&::siege::--><img src='http://www.natural-selection.org/forums/html/emoticons/siege.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='siege.gif'><!--endemo--> <!--emo&::sentry::--><img src='http://www.natural-selection.org/forums/html/emoticons/turret.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='turret.gif'><!--endemo-->. With two hive secured and 5 resource nodes we sat around and teched up. The siege at comp core was actually very helpful later when lerks and gorges <!--emo&::gorge::--><img src='http://www.natural-selection.org/forums/html/emoticons/pudgy.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='pudgy.gif'><!--endemo--> were trying to take comp core back form inside the vents above it. After a while I had all 10 marines in HA with shotguns and welders and we went and crushed the last hive.

    it was kinda nerve racking tho, haveing to watch everywhere at once, will answering calls for medpacks/ammo/mines/guns/ect, it made me respect waht a hard job commanding is

    well... hoped you enjoyed it... cause i had a grand total of like 5 commanding expiriences.

    It is sad really. When i say "guys go to fusion"... wanna know what happens? they go THE EXACT OPPOSITE WAY... Those near fusion decided... hey, lets leave fusion cause he said go there... Yes apparently there were monkeys playing on the server.

    Really sucky when ppl dont follow orders but even suckier when you go solo and take out a hive only to watch ur team rot at the base as they rebuildit and set up more defences
