In ns people kill Onos' with knives. Welding Fades isn't actually something absolutely amazing.

Yeah, a long time ago on eclipse, a fade was running away from marine spawn entrance after being pounded by hmg (even through umbra), so I took my welder and ran after it; it died (even though it was faster than me) and I suddenly realized that the welder had a pretty good range to it.
Leave the thread alone... pretty simple conversation thread. Welding an alien is easier then knifing it. The welder keeps on firing continuously and you dont have to aim as much or be as close in range to the alien.
i got into a knife fight with a fade fresh outta the hive , and unbelivably i won, still cant belive it. im assuming that the player whatever his name was was totally crap.

I welded a fade about a week ago. It was at the top of a ladder just standing there, dunno what he was doing, but I got up htere and started welding him for at least 10 seconds and he just died.

Well I've welded/knifed just about everything except for a lerk. Whenever I lerk, I always bite the knifers easily: They empty a coupla clips into my umbra cloud and think I'm almost dead, but then get chomped <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

a very usefull thing to do with the welder is to use it to open doors etc, becuase you can just run by and wave the welder, and the door opens, <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> and when people try and knife me as a fade I stand still so they can run into my flayling claws of death
If you are a fade and you get into a bunyhopping melee with a marine then I suggest you hit yourself on the head. That is what acid rockets are for - splash damage.

ive had this happen to me a couple times. ill hop in the comm chair late in the game to drop an ip or something and an onos will kill the comm chair. when he kills it i get stuck in him and can knife him to death without getting hurt by him, as skulks watch and can do nothing to hurt me either.

I killed an onos with 1 pistol bullet when I was going back to base to help out, and while the onos ran away... Doesn't mean I got all the damage done
