Time To Take Out The Trash

When you join a server in the middle of the game - Don't pop off your mouth and assume you have ANY idea what has been going on. It really pisses people off.
Let me set the stage:
I joined a server and went aliens. It was 2 v 1 when I got there in favor of the marines. The poor guy had lost everything but one hive and was trying to reinforce it. The very FIRST thing I asked was how could I help. Apparently this guy had been playing for a almost 45 minutes and was finally losing. He told me his other 2 teammates bailed on him when they started losing. I checked out the other hives, they each had at least 4 sieges. It was nasty. I ran around getting killed for a long **** time trying to buy time for my teammate to reinforce the hive. I then noticed they were both out of the base shooting at the hive so I ran into their base dropped 8 OC's and 8 DC's - built them as fast as I could and literally took out EVERY THING in their base but the comm chair. It was wicked.
They had already planted a comm chair before I got there in another location - didn’t know. So they just relocated with ease. Some player joins in and goes aliens and starts bitching - why don’t we have this, why don’t we have that, you guys suck, why do we only have one hive, why don’t we do this, why don’t’ we have that, etc etc etc etc.
By this time I had managed to take out a TF in one of the hives they held and started to build it. I had to do it alone cause we agreed that my teammate would do nothing but reinforce our one hive. The idiot player had no idea how long this poor guy had been fighting them off – WHY because he did not ASK!!!!!!
I got the hive up - then attacked the hive they relocated to as a fade. Took out EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING - I was down to 4 HP - comm jumped out and popped me. I started calling for them to go kill the last guy before he got an IP up and end this.
The idiot player had the nerve to say “Why do you want to end it so early” – The GAME was an HOUR freaking long. He had only been there 5 damn minutes. He sat there building a Res tower the entire time I was voice comm’ing then told me I had no idea what I was doing.
So they got another portal up and had level 3 hmg’s ready to go in no time since they had researched everything early in the game.
I was so irritated I simply left.

The moral of the story is – Have some damn courtesy when you join a server in the middle of the game. Don’t assume you know what is going on and ASK how you can help. Don’t assume you already know how you can help because you have absolutely no idea how long a game has been going on. A little courtesy goes a long way.
