<div class="IPBDescription">looking for a...</div> I am currently using the hi-poly smartgun (dont know who made/converted it, whoever it was gj! ). However I am wondering if there is a verision where you hold the smartgun more towards the corner of the screen (like you do with the Smartgun v2.0) ?

Here is a pic of the smartgun i use:

    Hmm, if you're feeling brave you could do it yourself - all that needs to be done is changing the origins a little.

    This is from the stickied Modelling 101:
    <!--QuoteBegin--></span><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->Q: How do I create ironsights, shoulder views, or other-wise reposition a v_model?
    A: This is done by using $origin in your QC file at compile time. Place it near the top of your QC file, before the $sequences.
    FORMAT: $origin X Y Z
    X is left/right. Positive values move to the right.
    Y is in/out. Positive values move out, away from you.
    Z is up/down. Positive values move down.<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->

    Now, in order to get at the .qc file you'll need to decompile the model, and of course recompile it when you're done. Detailed instructions (it's not hard) are also in Modelling 101. To edit the .qc, simply load it into a text editer (notepad does the job just fine).

    After that, unfortunately it's a matter of trial and error until you get it placed where you want it.

    Be careful of which decompiler you use, Kratisto's is recomended since it doesn't screw the origins after decompiling.

    However some versions of MilkShape reset the origins after the model is decompiled, I think the latest version of MS uses Kratisto's MDL decompiler.

    wut defines a smartgun? does it resemble a 30 caliber machine gun or something?

    A smartgun is the gun from the Aliens movie that Vasquez uses.

    It is also found in the game Aliens VS Predator.

    Basically it is a machine gun that can automatically track targets - or auto-aiming

    <a href='http://www.trottel-elite.de/ns/' target='_blank'>http://www.trottel-elite.de/ns/</a> - version 2.0

    Delarosa those are the wrong ones <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> I used to use those but then i found this one (sorry cant remember where i found it :/ ). But I was thinking to have it repositioned at the same angel as the Smartgun 2.0 (not the centered one).

    I am gonna try to redone it myself like Souris said. But it will be the first time so the end-result may not be as good as I hope <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
