they did it TWICE!
Family Guy was a decent show which I watched whenever I could
(which is hard when you dad is anti TV)
and Fox cancelled it twice...I pose these queries
1) should it be re-aired?
2) should Fox be allowed to air it, or should it be aired on a smarted network?
3) is it a great show?
4) any thoughts?
with that being said

I have a grief with any show that I like being cancelled, as it means I may never get to see what could have happened with the cast, writers, and director, and so it is with the case of the Family Guy, it will always be reruns, unless the shows air on the internet like what happened with The Critic. I suggest checking out Odyssey 5 while you still can, here is another cool show that got canned before it could really take off, despite a good amount of viewers.
At least we were lucky with Buffy the Vampire Slayer, it managed to survive this long, and it seems to be cooking up to one heck of a finale.
I think you can see it on Comedy Central now. I dont know the exact time, its on sometime late though.
Well, look at it this way - Cartoon Network has already done more for Futurama in one month than Fox has done in the whole 4.5 seasons so far. Fox even pre-empted Futurama this past Sunday because apparently everyone just needs to see another King of the Hill rerun.
article (the last paragraph is advertising genious, IMO)
Trust me, getting away from Fox is probably the best thing that any television series can do.
ITS BACK ON CARTOON NETWORK APRIL 20th, 11:00 (maybe 11:30...)
WATCH! BUY THE SEASON 1 and 2 DVD.
If cartoon network sees a good response, new episodes!
Futurama though.. at least that had some brains. Only problem with it being on Adult Swim now is that we get the East Coast feed, so either I usually miss it, or my little sister is watching and Bender says something to get the TV turned off for the rest of the night. :b
Only watched Family Guy a little... the baby annoyed me, too.
They've killed Family Guy AND Futurama!
I need no further reasons to be entirely justified in going on a murderous rampage at Fox Studio's headquarters.
Not many programmes can make me laugh as much
as Family Guy. It's up there with Futurama in my faves list.
I think The Simpsons had it right:
Marge: Wow, Fox turned into a hardcore porn channel so gradually I didnt even notice.
Has anyone else noticed that there is hardly anything worth watching on TV, or even listening to on the Radio anymore?
But if you wanna talk about good shows getting canceled, I got a few I'd like to see back on:
Upright Citizens Brigade: FUNNIEST SHOW EVAR!!!! No foolin. What other show has one episoe entirely devoted to a fictional sport? And where else can you find Dolphin aliens and Earthquake parties? What other show has the courage to reveal the truth about Spitty-Slurpy and edible panties?
Freakazoid: Two words: Poo Gas.................................................HUGBEES!
Pete And Pete: I cannot live another day without Artie! I want Artie back! 19 o'clock, and aLLLLLLLL, is PIPE!
Bah, they should have just moved it to FX. You can get away with a lot more on cable. Ever watch The Shield? They push the boundaries with that one, which IMO is the best show out there right now.
TNN is playing Star Trek movies and TNG while SciFi is playing Office Space and Knight Rider. I mean....really.
SciFi needs to start up Farscape again, pick up Firefly & TNG, rerun more episodes of X-Files (the old school good ones that actually had a plot). They got the Battlestar Galactica thing coming this December, but at this pace it will be wedged between reruns of Tremors: The Series and Star Trek: Enterprise *cringe*. Theres SO many good SciFi movies they could run, and they always pick the sucky ones, whatever happened to showing The Matrix (which would be GREAT with all the hype), Independance Day, X-Men, Spider Man (that would own)?

Yes! Finally, someone else who loved that aweseome show! I was so distraught when Freakazoid ended. Back on topic...
Family Guy was one of the funniest shows ever IMO. I'm very happy to hear its finally coming back. Futurama and Family Guy apparently on back to back on CN. Happy days!
Baby (Stuey??) : I'm sorry. All we have left is UNTIMELY DEMISE!
best line ever
Recent cancellation that ticked me off: BattleBots (I hope those machines go after the fools that canned the show)
<sighs and wanders off to shred the blueprints for Octane Knight>
