Hi, our server at 198.247.231.15:27019 DEADCLAN'S GRAVEYARD is looking for NEW FUN MAPS. We have most of the FUN maps that are out there. By FUN maps I mean small "generaly under 1mb in size" like Ninja_fall or Seige. If you would like to submit a map send it to mapgod@deadclan.net . We will run it and review it on our site, Thanks!

ns_canyonwar = Half loved it, half hated it. The good things they said was nice and bright. Finaly a map we all can see on. Sweet Ready Room. The bad things they said was to much res for Marines. Jet packs and HMG in 10 minutes means death for aliens. We played this map 4 times lastnight. Marines won all games.
If somehow the gameplay was more balanced this would be a great fun map.
ns_clashingarms50b We liked this map. Great looking and fun to play. Seems pretty balanced. The Clan wants this map in our rotation. That says alot. These guys are pretty picky. Great map! Great Job!
ns_ambush01 NICE! Great visuals. Nicely laid out. We really had fun on this map. The only thing they complained about was the kill water under the hive. Great map! Great job!
ns_assault This is the kind of map we are looking for on NEW MAP night. Fun, fast and furious! Lighting and textures were good. The gameplay was great! Eveyone liked this map and we played it 7 times! Great map! Great Job!
ns_battleground_3 The big hit for the night! Raves all the way around. Lots of good things said about the look and feel of this map. Great battles and seems like even game play. 10 times played and the score was 5/5. The fighting was very intense on this map. We all agreed it was because of the layout. Sets you up for some GREAT fights! This was the most popular map of the night! Great map! Great job!
ns_kamikaze This map we thought brings the vertical map style into serious play. Most vertical maps are JUST FUN maps. Not this one. It is impressive. we all enjoyed this map very much. No negative feedback from the clan. Good looking and Great gameplay balance. Taking the vertical map world into the next stage. We were all impressed with the ready room. Great map! Great Job!
SEE YA ALL NEXT WEEK WITH MORE!
Yes, we are aware of this crashing issue and are trying to work with the NS team to resolve the issues (which are most likely internal to NS) for v1.1. The problem appears to be NS trying to send too much data at one time between the client and the server which is causing a client overflow and then crashing the server.
This crashing will happen periodically even in the standard maps where you have turrets/chambers in large rooms and the enemy comes to battle. ns_freefall being pretty much just a large room, seems to amplify this crash issue. I've been trying to change up the map a little here and there in the latest releases (up to beta 10 as of now) to help increase the FPS and hopefully reduce the crashing. We'll see.
It's still the most requested map on my server though. But, thanks for the review of other maps, we'll take a look at your high picks there.
Cool. I just finished a small player count playtest and it went on for over an hour without a crash. We'll have larger playtests throughout the day as well. FPS in marine area seems to be greatly affected by the number of turrets and also alien chambers on the platform above (which I'm going to put nobuilds on).
