Oni - Picky Eaters?

Coil is referring to where the gun goes when the marine dies from 'devour'. thank god it doesnt come out the other end.

hmm. what exactly is the reasoning for oni spitting out guns after it swallows the marine? if it can digest heavy armor, jetpacks (+fuel), helmets, a marine's entire supply of spare ammo, etc, why can't it handle a gun? i understand that the rationale MAYBE for balance reasons but it makes no sense to me whatsoever otherwise. perhaps some dev/tester/someone with insight can elaborate on this most puzzling new feature.

you've lost a marine for a good period, likely one worth many resources. Just helps the recoup a bit

Secondly If it does matter, make it up, for instance, Marine guns could contain a radioactive power supply that the oni can't digest, where as the HA/JP etc dont contain this power source.
Just have a little imagination.

i dont think it really matters if they spit out the gun, sure another marine could pick it up, but there an onos there! with a marine-free stomache!

It should have a 10% chance of playing whenever an Onos successfully swallows a marine.
EDIT: COME. ON. Even GameFAQs doesn't censor that word.

when you are in the process of devouring, you can't move or can't move very much. so this wouldn't work unless you were already there

wth? onos can't move much when digesting a marine? that is just tarded. why would humongous animal like the onos be weiged down by a marine who would weigh no more than 400 lbs even with full equipment? the new 1.1 onos looks like the size of a van!
