Hi ppl,
I use skins for my rines in NS: Space Marines <a href='http://t2k.neotech.cc/ns/ns.shtml' target='_blank'>Click here for the Space Marine skins and other funky stuff from the T2K site</a>
<a href='http://members.home.nl/guido18/SpaceMarines_Final.jpg' target='_blank'>example 1</a>
<a href='http://members.home.nl/guido18/ns_eclipse0001.bmp' target='_blank'>example 2</a>
<a href='http://members.home.nl/guido18/ns_eclipse0002.bmp' target='_blank'>example 3</a>
<a href='http://members.home.nl/guido18/ns_nothing0002.bmp' target='_blank'>example 4</a>
They are based on a game from Games Workshop called Warhammer 40k (tabletop strategy game, hobby o
mine <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> ) (www.games-workshop.co.uk)
Point is...
I installed the skins, and as soon as it came out i installed the gun pack, and jp pack for the "Space MArines"
The JP sound was pretty messed up, so i replaced it with the old one again
But now, and especially on voogru servers
I get the "Server demands file consistency for ns\models\shell.mdl" message
Can anyone give me the original file or be of help? Thx <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

Comments
you have 2 choices, keep both sets on your comp and swap em when you wana play on voog's and others that use file consistancy
or uninstall all of your sustom skins/sounds/models/everything
sorry man
or using ASE you can filter out servers ussing fileconsistancy
ah well... I'll just install HL twice <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
120 Gigs is still sweet <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> *evil laughter*
[feel free to close]
If you need instructions about how to make a filter from ASE, just let me know and i can add a guide for it in here. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
Just have both files and switch between them
So you copy whatever file it is and then install the custom skins
Then when you wanna play on consistency servers you copy the new one ( not to the same dir <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> ) and copy the old one ( much copying ) to the original dir...
Uuh
Im confusing myself...
like for example
First you copy A to sierra
Then you install the new ones
This would create B in the NS folder or some folder within it or so ( I don't use custom models <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> )
Then to play on consistency servers you copy B to
uuh
The desktop
And A to whatever folder B was in
And then you reverse it...
And
Uuh
I'll stop now before I go insane
well you lost me,
I'e got three partitions of 40 gigs
I'll get it to work trust me, I dont know much, but I can get stuff to work <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
copy your models dir (And any other dir that you have custome things in) rename the copy models2 then install the new models
if you hit a file consistancy server simply rename models to models1 and models2 to models <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
hehe
yeah but you said it, uhm...
difficult <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
I'll try it out, I have my old models directory, so it shouldnt be a problem
<!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
(is in the 1.04 change log)
<!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
<!--QuoteBegin--></span><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->If you want to simply test real fast, rename your NS directory to 'NS.BAK', then install NS from the exe, and copy your config.cfg file over from the NS.BAK directory into your new clean NS directory (or just re-run your NS exe and it will make this backup copy automatically for you). Then connect to a few games and see how it goes for you. Rather than going back and hand-fixing all your models, I mean.<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
And if you want to switch back to your custom models then just rename your default NS folder to "NS.bak" and your custom folder from "NS.bak" to "NS".
Anyway this was spam and should be disregarded anyway seeing as how im trying to stop with that...
Darn...
This is spam to...
Uuhm
Darn
Right <!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
You know the installation exe.
Which will install NS when you double click it....
