Comm Chair

Marine placement when they leap out
I'm working on a marine spawn based around a landing pad with a dropship on it. What I'd like to do is have the comm chair INSIDE the drop ship, leave the back door open, and the marines run in to use it. However, having seen what happens if you build comm chairs in vents and such with players getting stuck in a wall or building on exiting the chair, I'm a bit concerned.

Is there any way to either control or predict where the marine will appear when he gets out of the chair? I'm not sure, but it seems to me that the game places you in the same spot you were standing when you got in.

Anyone know?

to my knowledge, the marine allways leaves the comchair on the left side. Thusly, place the comchair laterally in your whatever it is, with the left side facing out. Viola!

(note: it could very well be the right side, or it could be random. I'd test it before putting it in my map. I only think it's the left side.

That's what I had originally thought too, but I'm pretty sure I've played games as comm where I've hopped into the comm chair from behind it or in front and (as far as I know, I should test this) been put in the same spot again when I got out.

I think I'll save my map and go for a quick test to see if I can figure it out.

I think you leave the CC in the same spot where you entered the first time (not sure)

Do a small room with a CC and test it

Alright, I just ran a quick test and yes, you hop out wherever you hopped in.
