i have done one half of the barrel wrapping stuff, and im starting the scope again to do it better and deleting all excess polies (wrappings make up about 170 polies)
ok i got the scoped one down to 2000 =\ and unscoped down to 1500, i dont think i should release this because its already been done unless someone thinks otherwise but.. meh

Keep in mind that you can shave polys from the parts of the model that the player will never see. The right side is the obvious place to start, and the detail on the front of the scope as well. Looks pretty good!
About three people I remember did this gun, no-one released it. So please finish it and release it <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
heh, in the cs community it would be considered low poly, lol <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

I made my own, uber-high poly version. Hey, i didnt bother omitting most of the details. (just the grills in the barrel, the indents on the pump, and so on, but that is one hell of a job.) But it wont compile to the HL engine in 1 reference smd file.
well i would love to release it except i cant mesh to save myself so if someone would like to take up the ever so tedious job i would be extra super glad to release it... =\
