Well, back on topic, I'm doing small playtests (not really playtests, because I just had 2 hives), and now I implemented the 3rd hive, but I still haven't played it, because it's not really ready. I made a pair of temporal corridors (I wanted to run like an onos through the map) and finally had the 3rd hive, so, now I'll post the work I've made already, and feel free to add/remove/edit as you wish... or just tell me <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->

btw, I'm around 65000 light patches, so I think the next compilations will have -sparse... <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->

I forgot (it's obvious but I'll post it anyways):

W = Weldable
CC = Command Console
R = Resource Node
H = Hive

Edit: No, there are no vents <i>yet</i>

    That's what I've done so far, I just need to finish the layout, and I'm too bad at it, so I'm sure that it'll be unbalanced if everything depends on me (the right part is not finished as you can see...).

    So, before anyone yells: "OMF TISH MAP SUCKS!!11one so unbalanced!11 too marine friendly" I prefer that you guys tell me how do you think it'll be more balanced

    If you weld that, the door there... opens, because that hive is just 20 seconds away from MS, it's too close...

    And this thread is not for showing images, I need help on the map layout D:

    The room you added above the right hive looks like a possible double seige point (I say possible because I don't know the numbers for you map).
    Those added rooms look good, but I think you should move the right hive further away from the rest of the hive (either physically or with curvey hallways), thus eliminating a possible double seige point (if you move it physically) but also increasing the time to it from the marine base.

    Ah right, yeah now I see where it's going. That 2nd image really helps. I say you need to finish the layout now, before finishing any more rooms. Keep it light and changeable in the layout phase or risk having permanently lame gameplay-bugs in the map.

    For what it's worth, even on the 2nd picture, the first thing I notice is still how close the hive on the right is. Might not be a problem at all, it's just what I notice. Overall I say it looks promising.. keep it up, show us a complete layout of where it's headin'?

    I would say it looks fine...
    We cant say much without a playtest or something, is hard.
    Maybe without that lake in the middle... i dunno!
