Help my computer work good.

Okay, forgive the poor English. I'm looking to upgrade my graphics card...

Bestbuy is running a good deal this weak on a GeForce2 MX200 PCI card... Unfortunately I don't know if it'll work with my Compcrap Presario 5000US. I checked Compaq.com, at their tech support is weird and difficult... They say I can get to work by disabling this and doing something else with that... and something and something... anyone have advice here?

May you please post some specs of your system?
Like RAM and Mhz?

Also I would say, that a GeForce2 MX is quite old and bad compared with new Graphicscards. But anyway it's cheap!

750 MhZ AMD Duron
192 MB RAM
30.0 GB Hard Rive
Current Card
8MB Nvidia TNT2 Vanta LT

and I just updated my BIOS/Rom thingy to the version that supports these cards... so maybe that'll do it eh?

Well, a GeForce 2 Mx will surely make sense with such a setup (GeForce 3 needs at least 1 GHz to work perfectly). I used to use a 2 MX until I got my new PC (AMD XP 2000+, GeForce 4 Ti ), and really loved it.

My advice is to get the card and then ask a friend with some experience with hardware to install it.

omg Nem. Just cause you are not able to build in something in a PC that doesn't mean that Pi Gi is also unable at this.

But besides that I agree with Nem.

Hey, I'm able to build something 'in' my PC.
It's the keeping the stuff in place that gets me in trouble.
