Egad, Terrible Fps.

Now, I've been lurking around threads and hear about people with 450mghz processors and voodoo2's getting 20-30 FPS.


Here's my problem:


I have an AMD Athlon 800mghz, ATI Radeon 8500LE, with 512RAM, however, I can only hope to get 20 fps when I am using r_drawviewmodel 0, insanely low textures, no decals, and lowpoly models.

Help anyone? Or is this only the beginning of the Kharaa's ultimate tool to defeat mankind?

    Have you tried diabling v-sync on you vid card?

    Also, are you running at 32-bit color in NS? (in your start menu shortcut, it will have the parameter -32bpp). Delete that parameter if it exists.

    Just disabled V-Sync right now, I'll see how it goes later.

    And yes I've been using 16bpp.
