Map screenie extravaganza!

<div class="IPBDescription">Now with correct gamma correction!</div>Well I finally figured out how to make my shots not look like ###. Oh and I got some more rooms done. So here are a ton of shots. Some are repeats of old shots but since they are brighter now you can see what they looklike in game.

Entrance to one hive room. Way too bright though this build.

turret pw33ns hive :) again, the hive room is way too bright and will be toned way down.

i have no idea what the hell i was thinking, i just had the light levels way way too high :P also disregard the texture misalignments. also too many light sources. i'll fix that. the piston moves ingame and another room like it will be a hive room...

One thing i'm noticing about my level now is that some of the colors just look kinda 'washed out' for some reason. like somebody bleached the level :/

As always, comments are very very appreciated! Now that the shots are actually somewhat representative of what it looks like ingame, I should get better feedback :)

Oh and remember, red room = mistake, no need to gripe about the lighting, it will be cut by a forth :P

    Ok the pics looks fine but the hive room mustnt allowed do build turrets.
    because then the attacking of the hive will be too easy.
    read the NSTR mapping guide.

    And to the red pic the textures must be fit a little bit.
    the lightning is good and will give the aliens a good area to fight.(marines cant see them so good)

    PS:Nice map would have it when its ready.

    set the X scale to 0.75 on the see-through grating on the 45degree section so it lines up. Also make sure you have the to world flag set

    the 4th shot from the top is my favorite hallway in NS, period, but does it fit with the rest of the map?

    Your 5th picutre down, the hallway -- it really looks great.  However it does not look like it fits in with the rest of your map.  In the rest of your map the walls sorta look 'dirty.' (That could be why you think it looks washed out.)  Then all of a sudden you have a nice, clean, crisp hallway.  Unless the area around this hallway fits into this 'clean' thing you have going on then I dont think it would look good.  However, I really love what you could do with it.  You could have the angled lights giving off a little glow, the area more darker, and the yellow lights would provide great contrast!

    here's a room you guys haven't seen yet. its kinda simple but it still loosk neat. the ceiling has some nice detailwork to it but you can't really see from this shot. this is the first time it's been shown cause this is the first time the lighting hasn't been fubar'ed up :P

    as you can see i've toned the lighting down a lot but it still generally sucks. i'll probably get it right about 3 builds from now...

    It doesn't suck, it looks pretty sweet. Just need to fix up the lighting.

    3th and 4 th shot need work, those hallways look too plain/blocky, glad you toend down that lighting it reminded me of shaddow warrior d:) (excellent game btw but the lighting *shudder*)
