do you mind if I use some of them for my wallpaper? <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
One thing thats always bothered me about bryce is that the suns always look like little glowing balls floating above the water because the reflections are never directly below them. In real life there is no place angle you could ever stand at that would shift the suns reflection in one direction or the other.
O ther than that, I cant beleive how nice the bryce engine renders scince 4...amazing...and these pics are no exeption. Very nice guys.
Bryce is a funky landscape and random trippy object creator. It's rather good.. <a href='http://www.metacreations.com/products/bryce4/' target='_blank'>http://www.metacreations.com/products/bryce4/</a> You can import / export other models, drop em in a bit of scenery, add clouds, water, whatever..
Dunno if trials are available or not..it's up to bryce 5 now, I think the company got bought over or something..google it, it may well be available for demo..
Terragen is kinda similar in some ways, it's more geared up to "landscape only " though.. <a href='http://www.planetside.co.uk/terragen/' target='_blank'>http://www.planetside.co.uk/terragen/</a>

Tutorials for photoshop: I don't have photoshop, I wouldnt know Tutorials for bryce: I learned everything from <a href='http://www.3dlinks.com/tutorials_bryce.cfm' target='_blank'>here</a> There isn't much in the way of tutorials for Terragen... uh.. just use google <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
Graphics card I have a GeForce2 Ultra (I believe 32 meg).. and no it doesn't affect the render, only the render time.
If you want to get better with Terragen go back to their website and download the plugins for it (especially solaris, and waterworks)
Lol I don't think theres much I could write on. I'm still learning the program myself, and most of what I do is just playing with numbers, sliders, and colors.
My latest work.. rub it on your face and go OOOH OOOH OOOH! I need to re-render it though giving the terrain a curvature (so it makes it look like a more realistic horizon)

I think those pics are really nice, but where can you use them? What program did you use, are they hard to do? I had a similar programn and it did all by itself, is that working like that too?
Sorry to be stupid <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
The first bunch of images is from Bryce 5, then after that everything I've done is used in Terragen. Uh I don't know the website off the top of my head but google will help. You can use there pictures for pretty much anything... I make them for the sake of making them and having nothing else to do, but map creators sometimes use programs like these to create skies.
