on gamesnet
I just registered it. I haven't a clue how well it will work though. Hopefully some of the established modellers around here will lend a hand, if I bribe them with ops and voice.

Bear in mind however that it's not intended just for people to turn up with requests like "OMG<!!! TEH AVP MODEL COVERTED TO NS AND PINK!" (© Comprox), and I may decide to go all nazi and kick random peons who spam silly requests and such, or set it so only those with ops and voice can talk. The main focus of the channel should be on helping each other out with our projects and thrashing out good ideas for models.

I'll hang around there, but without making silly request, I know you are all busy enough.

    LOL

I registered ns-modelling on gamesnet a while back, when they registered one on quakenet, nobody ever came..damn rednecks..

Something I'm going to do soon is give voice and ops to community modellers. I could also do with having someone to co-own it with me, since I'm not the most reliable person in the world. Any volunteers?

I oughta smack you for misspelling "modeling," Souris. ^^

Nice work, definitely. I'll probably spend far too much time in there.

Souris: I'd be glad to help you out I usualy frequent IRC alot, so I could prolly co-own, although i know like absolutley nothing about modeling, which will hopefuly change as soon as I get some free time.
  • MausMaus Join Date: 2002-11-03 Member: 5599Members
Well, who I'm ideally looking for to co-own is someone who knows how gamesnet works (I know next to nothing about IRC really), is a modeller, and reliable.

Oh, and it's not misspelled - it's just British.

(a little bump, because I figure it does no harm to increase awareness of this here modelling resource. When I reedit "Modelling 101" I'll add it there too.)

edit: Also, for any people who model or want help but usually use, say, quakenet instead (like me, since that's where my clan rooms are), you know it's very easy to connect to multiple servers, right? Just in the options window in the connect section - there's a checkbox there for opening a connection in a new server window.
