How Is This Forum So Much Better?

<div class="IPBDescription">Than general and S&I forums...</div> Seriously... buh?

Is it because most idiots are lazy too? Too lazy to scroll to the bottom of the forums? I haven't seen one idiot post here since I started browsing it a few weeks ago. What the hell is up with the good spelling and coherently structured sentences?

Simple - the "Evil Pitchforkey Moderation Demons" seem to be slightly more lenient in OT than in other forums. The OT Regulars also usually pounce on whoever makes a dumb post mere seconds after they'd click the "Submit" button.

My theory is that the pure-oxygen environment the admins have secretly rigged up in the background just might have something to do with it as well. <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'>

I think that it's because most people who post on the General forums are new to the game. They want to discuss different topics about NS before talking about off topic stuff. Just about every forum has an off topic area (except the DoD forums anymore). They want to talk about NS, not off topic stuff.

When they updated the website. Check it out, it's on an announcment. They never plan on bringing Random Nonsense to the boards again, and will ban anyone who tries to start it up.

I just think its the fact that people are on-topic here in the off-topic forum. Which is must be amazingly difficult to do.

Plus the fact that alot of people just like socializing.

I dunno about the S&I Forums, but here's how I divide up the NS forums:

General = Hell
Artwork = Eleventy billion Photoshop tutorials
Models = OMGz ns sucks lets make it AvP
Off-Topic = Oasis

... it can be a riot due to the sometimes deranged suggestions that appears <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'> Not to mention watching the fallout from after when some poor nubcaek dares to suggest the sniper rifle, dual pistols or laser scope on the lmg <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'> But it's a good place to have all the mad hatters concoct their manic ideas up, and it's basically a forum we ALL must find ourselves guilty of having had the urge to visit at some point. "Wouldn't it be cool if Flayra...". Sometimes really gold stuff appears there, sometimes....

edit: On second thoughts, do not throw stones when you live in a house of glass :O) If you could see some of the postings in the closed playtesting forums. I plead guilty!
