Funny Way To Confuse People

Got this from some guy on the CoFR server last night.

While in the readyroom, find something that looks like it might be a secret. For example, the door out of the cantina on nancy. Run towards it, jump, and hit F4 right as before you hit the wall. If the ready room has a couple other people in it, they wont see that you just moved to a different spot in the readyroom and will likely think you disappeared into the secret. Laugh as people crowd around it trying to figure out how to operate the 'secret'.

ya ive seen and done that several times. I usually go up to some corner, hit the use button like 20 times and then hit f4, fun stuff.

Lol, this happened once. I was amazed. Until last time, he teleported (on ns_caged) right above me, so I was like heey.....
Funny way to earn a lot of stares from people, is if you enter cl_pitchdown 9999 then bend all the way upside down. Funniest when you do it with an Onos, you look like you're a 20 foot cat rolling over for a scratch behind the ears or something.

Alternately fun to do is alternate between F4 and 'spraypaint', and wallpaper the ready room if you're particularly bored. Friend has a script that does it automatically about 100 times, and usually the response when the round ends and everyone spawns is along the lines of 'haha, gg nubs... what the ***k?!'

I was playing around with people.. playing the joke on them in the readyroom.

It went something like this ..

"Did you know that this door actually works?"
"No it doenst.. it does?"
"Yeah, but we need more people to use it."
- 5 players watched how me & two other pressing use button on the door.
- They joined too. <lots of use sounds>

"It wont open.. "
"Hmm, climb on top of me. Maybe were missing the right spot."
- Marines piled up & use button sounds continued.
"lets go and play instead?"
"ok.."

I never told them the secret <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'>. i totally lost my aim (laughing too hard).

yes I would love to know what stopcommandermode is supposed to do except log you out of the comm chair.

It was a bug that was fixed in 1.04

It allowed you to turn into a marine with a gun basically.

RR people could do it. Aliens could do it.

I did this in caged once, when they came into the rr the first response was "Someone's been painting!" But then someone said that I was lagging the server, so I haven't done it since... Too bad, that was fun. <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'>

It doesnt lag the server. All servers have a decal limit, this includes bullet holes, alien blood, and sprays. Once the limit is reached the server deletes the oldest decal.

What the guy probably meant was it was his fps was dropping due to all the decals.

This was more of a psych war thing, but it was funny. One time on the CoFR server, the aliens couldn't get their game on early on, started very disorganized, but then one of the aliens said over alltalk "w00t, third hive going up! its Onos time!" and the other aliens followed along ... most of the marines just F4'd and the aliens won - with one hive. <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'>

When i was playing alien and the marines where going for the hive with hmg/jp i said
All marines press F4 for godmode and 4-5 people went to the RR.
