<div class="IPBDescription">How does it feel to be an E-Superstar?</div> This is a post to Mr. Cleveland himself lol.
Lord Flayra Evil Overlord of the Hive.

How does it feel to be so popular, to have your name known throughout the world without having to be an actor or famous singer?

Must be pretty neat huh? <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->

NS is like the special effects in the The Matrix. Revolutionary. The Matrix gave us that awsome slow mo, rotate the camera move. You combined a first person shooter and a real time stratedgy game. Now we are seeing the comming of lots of similar NS type games. Just like all other TV shows and movies that ripped off of bullet time lol. You have made the "bullet time" of Half Life Mods!

You have the power to control peoples emotions lol. Wanna make us even more anxious? Just delay 1.1 a little more lol. (not saying you are doing that now) You have a huge span of fans who just cant wait for that next installment of NS. Its like waiting for The Matrix Reloaded or the final Lord of the Rings or Star Wars movie to come out.

If I went into a server and said "Hey guys guess what? I played with NSplayerdudex today and He was such a great comm we never lost!!"
People would likely say. "Thats great now shut up."

or
I could go into a server and be like, "Yo guys i saw Flayra tonight. I only saw him for a sec. he said Hi with a smile face <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->. then he left"

And people would be like OMG what did he say! How awsome! COOL! etc etc.

Did you ever think when you were younger that you could be such an internet celebrity?
What do u tell your friends?
Hey guys look at me! Im an international online superstar!

Speaking of your friends do they think u are some type of computer nerd? B/c we NS gamers certainly dont think so!
Do you ever dream about being a guest star at some sort of acedemy awards of computer gaming lol?
And the Winner is... drum roll... Mr Charles Cleveland.

You can stand up with a surprised smile on your face.

"Yes, well I cant belive I got this award. I have so many people to thank......"
I saw your picture in the "what do you look like" post in the off topic forum. I know deep down you are just a normal guy but come on. We all know you are the evil kahraa leader when the sun goes down. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
Keep up the great work to both you and the NS team!

PS where did you get the screen name Flayra from? b/c its different and neat.

incase any one is wondering, im not trying to suck up to anyone here. just trying to ad some friendly humor to the forums.

You can tell that the veneration of Flayra in this community has reached toxic levels by the phrase/lol quota of this topic...

    **Nitpick**

Flayra is not the first person to make an FPS/Strategy game.

Activisions Battlezone was made sometime in '98, and it was damned good from memory...

I'm pretty sure there was one before that even, but it's name or indeed it's existence eludes me at the moment...

Actually Blue 2K Im not trying to "brown nose" at all.
As Im fully aware thats not going to get me anywhere anyways as this is a simple internet forum.

Just writing a funny (many people did find it funny too) post asking about Flayra and showing my appreciation for the game.

I dont really care what you think im trying to do, but there arent any secret alterior motivies here lol. And im not mad at you belive me. Im just getting things clear here. Dont take things so seriously lol its all in the name of fun.

OMG I am not the only person on this forum that played that game, that game F*ing rocked. There were no commanders, but it had structures and all the good stuff. That game sucked up a good year of my life, too bad Battlezone 2 totally blew.

Just thinking about that game makes me wanna to go play it. Cya in a few hours.

Hey, can I make a correction to the analogy? They seem to be all the rage nowadays...

The first slo-mo pan around was done in the movie Lost in Space ('98). I'm not saying they did it the best, but they pioneered it <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

So, I guess the battlezone analogy is perfect, as it did it first as well, and NS smoothed it out. Just like the matrix did with better skill.

Being a moderator of another forum about half/three-quarters the size of this, I know the two people at the head of the small company who run the forum. On their forum and in their community they are 'famous' and 'E-superstars', but it isn't that great for them. I know they work their butts off fixing bugs in the software they produce, updating, patching, and trying to get new versions out. They can't often check out on the internet what people are saying on the forums or who has set up websites, and when they do they get screamed at for bug fixes and updates.

And that's two lead programmers. Here there is only one.

    E-superstar: Not recommended...

yeah, but that's the great thing about the Internet. You could be Flyra, I could be Flayra. That person called "Player" last night could have been Flayra. He won't be mobbed with fans unless he wants to be, or if he just feels like putting in an appearence.

And yes, i've heard NS caompared with Battlezone before now, and it does rock. I had a friend invite me over to his house for a "party" once, and when i got there he said something like:
"hi gaz, you ever played Battlezone?"
"Err, yeah i think i completed it a while back"
"Cool, get past this level for me?"
so i did then he wouldnt let me touch the PC for the rest of the night. Ahhh, friendship..... <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
