Lo all! I haven't been in here for ages. Hope everyone's keeping well.
Errmm... Was just wondering if we've seen any sign of some rough system requirements now that the release is getting closer? I just thought that being as it's taken a while to create this wonderous piece of Half-life adapted programming that it's not gonna have the original HL system requirements anymore.
Just and idea for something to put on the site. Oh, and I want to know if I'll need to buy a new computer for this release.

What system do you have now?
I can run HL easily in the higest res but with all the stuff that goes on in multiplayer I find that some mods start to slow it down for example Firearms and FLF.
I just wanted to know if my pc's going to start dying during a heated battle.

My alternate (read: slow as hizell) test box:
P2 350
128MB RAM
5400RPM 8GB Drive
TNT Riva 2
The main idea here is that if you can play CS, you should be able to play NS. Successive releases will likely get more optimized as well (we'll probably release the "debug" build for v1.0, and we'll work on the optimized version after that).
PII 266 / Win98
320MB RAM
Voodoo Banshee / running NS at 640x480
I get intermittent performance in playtests... sometimes fine, sometimes pretty choppy. I wouldn't try NS on anything worse than my system... but then, I doubt you could *find* anything worse than my system these days. I hope to upgrade within a month.
I must congrat the team to go with those small requirements. If you compare it to the actual availible systems it's amazing to bring in such beauty on such small pcs.
