    its a bug...

    officaly you cant mute people till 1.1, but their is a fix somewher on the fourms... let me try to find it

    Type toggleeditps in the console, and then mute normally.

    But actually I would like it stay like this, because everythime I play some toher mod, I press tab when I die and for some reason I accidentally mute half of the team.

    pull down console type this

    bind "a" "toggleeditps"

    then ingame hold down the tab button and hit "A" hover over the name of the offending person and click the mute icon next to his name.

    its great when your on a public server with the french or spanish, because they seem to constantly chatter at 300 words per minute.

    (no offence if your french or spanish btw but you know its true)

    You should also note that you may have to hit your "toggleeditps" key again after muting the person or your popupmenu could be disabled (as it is for me when I mute).

    I've had that problem and couldn't, at first, work out where my alien buildmenu had vanished to.

    Have an admin use adminmod to run "voiceenable 0" on the mic spammer.

    Also, if you ban em and they come right back, ban them by IP address.

    If necessary, ban their whole subnet, then send an email to abuse@their ISP explaining that you had to ban their whole subnet because this one player kept abusing the system to get around your ban.
