<div class="IPBDescription">stop the bite bikering</div> How long does it take for spikes to kill an unupgraded marine in 1.1? Just now in 1.04 it takes about 3-4 seconds. ALSO will spikes actually do Heath damage to heavy armours now? or still take only 1 armour point every hit.
the spikes will have to kill faster i guess for people to accept that bite is gone :o

and why not thats what it was intended for, go skulk if you want to bite (imo they are the best alien form in the game anyway (1.04 wise))
and i doubt any amount of complaining will change it in 1.1 anyway.
Only time i ever used spikes was to harass marines and break up em so i could procede to tear them apart in smaller groups with bite. Or when i ran out of energy and that marine is at low health and chasing me still cause im half dead too.

The damage reduction that spikes are getting is a big loss... but if the RoF increase is true then it'll be all gravy, and we all know how good gravy is <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
Well.. I was going to reply this and then I just realised.. I can't even count how many times I've flown into a bunch of turrets used umbra and bit away two turrets while strafing and flying out to repair that 20 HP I lost.. that's a huge loss =/, I can't really see lerks without bite spike and umbra.. yet I don't want them to lose spores or primal scream either.
Oh well, change is good.. using a lerk will mean a whole new playing style, sending in a skulk or two as you shot a cloud of umbra from a safe distance.
