<div class="IPBDescription">yaddayaddaBANGBANG</div> Anyway, as you know, for the past week or so i have been workin on an overlord skin. This is a little progress. i really need some advice, and what to do about some parts.
i am mostly done, but there are two parts i am troubled about-
1. the head... i dont know what exactly to do... what you see in the pics is nothing, just ignore it.
2. the back legs... i am not sure what to do here either. organic pink? or get the brown flow.
Please post feed back so i can.. make it better.
ALSO, this is my 2ND SKIN EVER. so show some sympathy. PLEASE.
here are t3h p1c$.

make the legs brown but when animation starts, animate them curlling in and out
The head part is split in 2 texture groups. you can see this by the sharp borders around the eye.
I used this trick to let it look like big round eyebrows (grey) with low polygon count.
The lower group (including the eye AND ITS BORDER) is more grey, the other stuff (upper head and lower mouth) default brown. (minipic)
If you want the front spikes having a differend skin than the middle spikes just use some free space on the skinmesh for that 3rd circle for a 3rd spike mesh that I can add later.
I just thought it wont be necessary because all spikes should look the same BUT your spikes could use different borders.
I spend much time in the side plates, sadly your skin ignores this nicely.
The whole skin could need more bump, maybe its just the lightning - must test ingame.
Color and overall consistency is great.
It has no eyes, no face, no scary details - so it does not look scary yet - More like a balloon for little children.

to Ollj -
how would you suggest i bring out the side plates more? I really like the bumps, but i couldnt figure out a way to really bring those out and still have detail. maybe some advice? thanks.
edit- about the bump - 5 minutes after i started the thread, it fell back to the back of the second page. i really needed some advice, so bumped it.
