<div class="IPBDescription">cc stacking taken to the extreme</div> Ok i was bored yesterday and mad this in ns_nomblizkikko, it a complete CC fortress with watch tower. It contains, 1 IP ,2 Phasegates (one in tower), 2 armorys (one in tower), a prototype lab, an arms lab, an observatory, 2 turret factorys, 3 turrets, 3 seige turrets and about 200-250 command consoles.
This is solid proof why marine building stacking needs to go in 1.1 <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->
Its about 2 layers thick at the back, 1 on the sides, and 3 at the front.
You can sit on top of the 'watch tower' and shoot things, plus rearm with the armory located there.
Also I recommand you do not try this on any servers other than your own, this layout crashed Half Life 3 times!

YOU FORGOT TO PUT THE TURRETS ON THE CC WALL!!!

And for the phase gate on top, you need to have jp to get up there and build it and if you have jp there is no use in having the phase there as t would only help the aliens get there faster.

I did use a JP to build that up there, the only reason i have a phase (or a huge tower like that) up there is just for design reasons.
Also it only takes about 3 or 4 seconds to get up the the top as a skulk becouse of the slight slant of the tower. (plus a fade can just acid rocket anyone up there)
In a real game? all you would need is a lerk with three hives and gassed the small area inside to win.
I only really made it becouse i've have an obsession scince the first time i've seen a CC stack to make one of these.
Takes long? not really, took me about an hour to make the first time, the half an hour the second and third.
To get free res type in sv_cheats 1 then the command givepoints if i remember corretly.
i've got myself a key bound to givepoints 20 times so im never far away from unlimted resource <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
I also made a 6mb demo of it that rather stuffed up (the armory up the top falls through when i accidentally use a CC), I might remake it next weekend and redo the demo <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

Also, I recently tried something like this, except insted of a tower, I made a tree. Well, it was more of a Y, but my computer killed HL before I could add anymore branches... I'd post a pick, but my computer has trouble with posting stuff for some reason.
Also, due to HL crashing I didn't get many good pictures, most are just pictures with odd things, like ghost arms in the cc, a tilted screen and so on..
Also, if you look close enough you might notice that the entire thing is built upon only 2 CCs, the rest were extras that I accidentily dropped while stacking it.
By the end of it my FPS would drop down 60 just looking at it.

I see it hs that all important phase gate up there, does it have an armory too?
I'm thinking about seeing what I can do in via on nothing.. maybe a loop around the walkway? or Maybe I'll just find a big open map and just spell out my name in CC towers.. it would be possible.. just would have to have a slanted E.. and maybe no line on the A.. Doo dee doo.. That would make a cool sig.. name in CCs
you just jump on the chamber you want to stack, and on the very edge of it build a chamber. it helps if you look up.
Marine:
Build a structure and when placing the second, offset it enough so that it turns green (to be placed) but when placed falls and collides with it, causing the buildings to stack.
It wont matter much for marines, anyways, since stacking will be fixed for them, and maybe aliens, too.
I've always wanted a big open space to chomp marines in or blast aliens I've kinda gotten sick of all the claustrophobic maps these days.
Plus, It would be a great map to practise lerking <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
Its not much of a wide open map for the aliens, because they have a 2 skulk launchers on their base that get them across the map in half a second.. also there are rarely any real fights outside of the two bases.. Except for fights for the 2 res halls on the sides and the res nodes right beside each base..
Its also not great for stacking, as there is a large trap door in the middle that splits the level in half.. Its still pretty claustrophobic.. in its own weird way
