If it wasn't for PA, I would never have played HL at all, and it was their good-natured shilling of NS that drew me to the game (before its release, I was a DOD nut).
I already posted something about this in Off-Topic (you know, where it belongs) <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
To the same readers, NS has more depth, strategy, and atmosphere than Savage. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->

Ah, but I have to add that Savage is a great game as well and has some advantages over NS, but NS still has the qualities that I admire more. Here's to hoping Savage can attain the level of enjoyment I have had with NS over the last several months.
(ack... so many edits to convey my thoughts on the subject... so much more to add... and this post started as a whimsical joke on a fan's bias towards the home game)
PA is the reason I found NS in the first place. I had heard the name, and only the name, before, but hadn't heard any more. The PA guys said something about it being an FPS/RTS blend and that they liked it. I had a look at it and have been playing ever since... they're actually pretty good for recommending games because you don't have to wade through all the mediocre rubbish like on most sites. They only give a game a mention if it's worth the effort (either it's really good, really shite or doesn't live up to extreme hype), or they just mention it in passing.
NS linked twice by PA... sounds good for NS. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

Actually, IIRC they actually had done a short series about the addictiveness as well awhile back. Which was kinda cool, when mixed in with a few other comics that were doing similar (though for the life of me, I can't find my favorite one which included 'Skulkitis').
(edit) Correction, just found it using the wonderful search function. It was on <a href='http://www.warbucket.com/comic.php?id=104' target='_blank'>Warbucket, a bit ago.</a> Everybody go look.. funny stuff. (/edit)
Quick! Flayra! Get more bandwidth! <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
One thing I've noticed about PA is that most sites they link to tend to crash under the weight of hits <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
I never would have even heard about NS if it wasn't for PA and I'm sure a sizable chunk of the NS comunity is in the same boat. And most readers that passed over the NS links awhile back might check NS out now that PA has mentioned it again. Showing that it has replayability.
NS.org survived full-size PA wangings, this casual mention won't kill the servers, either <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

I wouldn't have found or cared about NS if it weren't for PA, if that means anything. <!--QuoteEnd--> </td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'> <!--QuoteEEnd--> Same here.
