I just played a game on GibGames where the skulks all rushed marine base until everyone had 33/33. Then 4 of us gorged, capped nodes, then ungorged, and kept doing this until we had almost all the RT's on the map. The main gorge still got his resources fast because there were only 4 gorges for short periods of time (until the 2nd hive went up). The 2nd hive went up quick; we built it before putting up DC's. Alien victory.
I think the marines could have beat us if they had been more agressive. Our timing wasn't perfect so after 2nd hive went up it took a while to get to Fades-- we eventually won with 3 hives and all fades but I think the marines could have taken down a have if they had acted faster.

. choose the hive you want to offer to marines and inform your team you will take the other
. go to your 2nd hive and gorge there
. have your skull let the rines got the 3rd hive
. put 2 ress tower and save for hive
. have someone being gorge and put 2 ress tower + defence tower

Usually marines get their hmg / jetpack at this time.
The tech tree of alien can be fast. You just have to let the skull capped at 33, mean they shouldn't spend their money through carapace, means you shouldn't build def tower.
In the timeline above, by the time they realize you will not put defense tower, you already are saving for hive and one other gorge is capping the 4th or 5th ress. He will certainly start making DC at the time you set the 2nd hive.

without cara u can't be sure that your skulks can gurad the 2nd hive/ take res
the gorges are not building DC to please the skulks but to give them an adventge while gurding your 2nd hive and preventing the M from taking RT"s.. vannila skulk are very easy to kill...
