Those shots aren't 1.1. Those shots are pre 1.0. They're really really really really old.

And the Nuke is coming back if Flay says so(not in 1.1 probably). Simple as that <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

It was overpowered in 1.0betatests and Flay didn't have time to change it etc.

hehe, oh well, they did look pretty old with those alien markings on a marines screen...just the 'res for kill' message tricked me, but that is old too!

sorry to get anyone's hopes up.

Yeah that's an old picture. Nukes were taken out not as much as they were too powerful (they were actually ineffective since they were so expansive). However, it promoted non-interactive play and was therefore taken out.

What did you think of the HE grenade kill then? Surely you didn't believe that HE nades were coming with the CS logo to NS?

The problem with nukes is that it's no fun for marines to hang around in base for half an hour, saving resources till the commander can afford to nuke the kharaa silly.

A marine deliverable tacnuke might be implemented in a later version, but it's not exactly top of the "to do" list.

To me even if nukes were balanced i think its a bad idea. Trying to recove space ships and outposts by blowing them up doesnt make sense to me. If there going to blow the whole ship up, why did they land troops in the first place.

Well perhaps you can think of it like in Aliens, ya know, trying to save it, it all fails they go to orbit to nuke it (in the books that is)

Who needs a nuke when you have a grenade launcher. All I'm going to say about the power of the grenade launcher is ****!!!!!.

Yes, if you'll check in my avatar, I doctored a photo of that flamethrower, replaced it with my last commanding game screen shot (NOT very recent, as you can see). I need some help--can someone enlarge it to the size of my other avatar? I could, but I'm seriously tired tonight
    /me yawns

You shouldnt put nukes in. I mean if its not overpowered, its not an acurate discription for the nuke. Maybye chemical weapons, but not a nuke,

Neutron bomb. Kills all living things, leaves buildings and such intact.
