Let the comm research chemical/biological warfare as soon as the game starts and then just gas the whole place. It will kill all lifeforms so the space station is free (no bacteria) and all the aliens are dead. But the marines get gas masks so they are OK <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> And they also get lasers to burn up any bacteria that survives.
Well i posted this in a thread awhile ago but no one really read the thread but oh well... It seems that a problem I’ve been reading about in the beta forums is that marines have to choose between expanding and upgrading. Naturally, most pick upgrading because they believe their marines are the most important weapon they have. Which is true. Well this seems to result in little or no outpost by the marines or lots of map control for the aliens. So here is what I think would help…
Make its so the commander puts a turret factory down in an area for 30 resources or what ever would make it balanced. Then after it’s built make it so that you can drop 3-4 turrets a phase-gate and an armory in the area of the turret factory for free or a very low price. It could be subject to change on what/how many of the buildings you can build in the area of one TF, do to balancing or whatever else. To make it so the marines cant spread so fast in the beginning make it so u have to build at least one of this buildings in the beginning, costing there normal resources, before u can build multiple ones for free in an outpost under a TF. There could be an upgrade feature in the TF to put 3 more turrets down. This should only apply to these building in the range of TF. If any of these buildings are built outside the TF range the cost there normal resources. So u can still sneak a pg in the corner of a hive but it cost its normal price. Outpost still take time to build marines still have to build everything that is dropped Resource towers are not included in this. They still cost resources to put down even if they are in TF range.
I think this feature would allow marines to upgrade and spread and have some map control just like the aliens do. I don’t think that having lots of marine outpost everywhere on the map would get that bad because, 1 it would spread the marines very thin and 2 it sounds like gorges jut rip marine outpost apart with bile bomb anyway. This might sound over powering for the marines, but I don’t think it will be. All it allows marines to do is spread and upgrade. As long as the Aliens can upgrade around the same rate I don’t see that big of a problem. We already have a forum for posting this sorta stuff, its call the suggestions forum. From the quality of suggestions you usually find there - i think there is like a 13yrs and under only limit.
The majority could be cut and pasted in here and no1 would be any the wiser...

The marines need a gun that is really good at aiming far away, and the aliens need a shield to block all the bullets from the marine gun but they can't attack while they have it . . . no wait, that's CS.
ok out of all the stupid ideas psoted in this thread, I would say the dumbest one is the idea for an AWP. but a good idea for NS is an irritating player killer, fire it, and the most irritating player on the server is immediatly vaporized. Change the team names Frontiersmen and Kharaa to "Counter-Terrorists" an"Terrorists" and make a gui interface to purchase weapons! You can buy new guns, and make it so there are frequent pointless headshots to ruin the game, also make sure theres a lot of 12 year olds playing it.
