Then if I click my flashlight on and off it turns normal. It happens in fairly dark areas (processing and trial generator for sure). I'm not sure if it's my video card or what... any help?

It would help if you told us which card you have, although I'm guessing on ATI since there's always so many problems with them.

    has to be drivers.

I have that same thing sometimes, BUT then it is when I'm playing movies. I minimalize the screen, re-open it, the movie is still playing, but the colors will be a bit "off" for 2 or 3 secs, then the screen switches to normal colors again.

I don't have this problem in HL or NS,

do a full re-install of both the game and the drivers, preferably drivers first, has to be solved then imo.

    good luck

    Cheers

Seems similar to the green dots everywhere problem. Although they never solved why that was happening <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->

Wow, thats exactly the problem i get. I get like stains on the walls and the texture tiles don't match up right. This happens in all HL mods for me not just ns.

I have the same problem and it's in every hl mod. I have the latest nvidia detonators and my card is GF 4 Ti 4200. Video mode is OpenGL.
They seem to disappear when another light comes into that place.

Mmmkay problem solved. Here's what I did:

    1. Took off all Nvidia drivers (I have geforce 4 ti4200 64mb)

    2. Got a program to completely clean nvidia drivers (includes registry etc.)

    3. Reinstalled the newest ones.

Works just fine now. Maybe my drivers got corrupted.

I experience the same problems with sometimes red and green tiles on the walls. I will try the solution about Geforce 4 ti you posted. But so far I think of it as a feature and not a bug. It's refreshing that the wall color sometimes looks different when I play. It's sort of a whole new map to me <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->

Do you have something like that? I'd need such a program but for another reason.

    Would you please post a link to that program? <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

Search on google for 3d guru, they have it there (Both ATI and Nvidia driver wipers) <!--emo&::nerdy::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/nerd.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='nerd.gif'><!--endemo-->
