I think a better skulk race would be something like this.
Every skulk should be able to evolve with 3 hives with any abilities they please. The first room would be where the bottom is far below, and the top surface is twisty and difficult to stick to unless you were good at wall walking. If you fell, your penalty would be to climb from the bottom back up and to the next room. It should be carefully designed so that leaping would NOT give you an edge here (it is possible). If it isn't possible, we can always have cameramen/referees to take screenshots.
At the end of the room, you'd then have a series of platforms different distances apart. Perhaps even a few tricky obstacles in the way you'd have to leap around too. This would exercise your ability to leap. If you had adrenaline here, for instance, it would benefit you greatly, but you'd also have to be smart enough not to lose all your energy at once. Skill in places other than wall-climbing you see.
The third and final skill would be a room with a huge drop with a line around the room near the bottom. The goal? Seeing how close you can xenocide without actually crossing the line. The skulk that gets the closest to the line in the minimum amount of time wins the skulk race. Celerity would help you out the whole time in the race, but adrenaline would help you out in specific parts. It'd take a skilled map-maker to make this map well.
If you want to make all the maps needed for that, go right ahead. Otherwise, this race is still proceeding as planned, so get those final teams together dangnabit! <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

We're probably going to race after 1.1 comes out, since there's just too many people required to race. We can either shorten up the number of teams (and probably reject a team to even things up), or we can continuing waiting by begging mappers to add in arrow decal signs so the racers won't forget their routes and get lost. That and since 1.1 is going through a lot of work, that may provide enough time for more skulk teams to join. (I really want to have decal signs into those maps. Heck, maybe throw in some fake sponsor decals to make it a real professional race.)
would like to register for a spot, team {H2O-R}. Not sure about the players yet, have at least 8 interested in being on the team so far. I'll most likely be the captain, may change.
