Should the command center be in an area near the marine base that is open to attack, or be in a small side room near the marine base that can easily be defended?
i could be wrong, but i thought i remembered hearing someone say something about the players deciding where it went when the game started, i can't remember exactly, though....
i would think it would be best in an easily defendable area, because the marines only get one, and then it's game over...
Also, thanks to the current commander system, additional CCs can be built, for the purpose of creating expansion bases. Thus, the initial command center should be defensible (something that seems to be lacking in a few maps I've seen) but it doesn't have to be the be-all end-all, seeing as more backup CCs can be built if the commander chooses.
Ok. I got it now. My scanner's broken right now, but it will be fixed by thursday. I'll post my hand-drawn plans for ns_nuclear on a new post on thursday. It's kinda small right now, but when I build it, some areas will be bigger.

heh the main prob with the new maps and the cc´s is that some ppl doesnt kno how to make a room more defendable..... coz they never played it, or they aint expirienced with architecture strategy (heh that sound like if i was a pro <!--emo&:D--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'><!--endemo-->) and they just put a room with the cc.....
of course there would be an "exception" in the case of marine vs. marine. Though I would love to be able to have multiple teams and alliances, adding to the rts side. Though this quickly becomes a lag issue unless the server can handle it.
edit: quick question though I probably already know the answer, in the case of 2 CCs, the commander logs out to the one he/she entered correct?
