<div class="IPBDescription">anyone else seen this?</div> I've been seeing people with perfect accuracy on thier HMGs, no longer do they have this huge cone. I've seen it so many times I just had to post :\. Is it just a bug that it appears to be doing this, or are they hacking?

HMG's cone isn't all THAT big, and as far as I know, the rounds themselfs are rather large (think of a shotgun slug). At close range, its impossible to miss, at far range, it is still very possible to kill something as small and quick as a skulk.

They could simply be using any number of aimbots for HL (or the few set for for NS) as well, but HMGs are all THAT innaccurate.

i believe when you watch someone else shoot, you don't see the spread of the cone...i think you just see everything hit one of the bottom corners of the cone so all shots seem to hit in the same spot.

well, I've seen my tracers to be be long and move slowly, and at times it looks like a perfect stream of bullets

To my knowedge, NS only draws tracers that actually impact the target, to reduce lag.

Interesting...does DoD do the same thing with machine gun fire?

ns "lag predicts" bullets... so that nade that just exploded on a fade might not have actually hit it at all. That skulk that just got shot with a whole clip of pistol? 2 hits. This is being fixed in 1.1. At least i hope this is what you guys are talking about....

To answer your question... directly and correctly..

When spectating another player, or simply when standing beside them in game, all of their HMG/LMG fire will be drawn as tracers in the bottom-left corner of the cone of fire. It's the same with everyone who fires the guns in NS, and nothing a client changes affects it. You are not seeing an "anti-recoil" script, or some sort of aimbot. It's just the way their cone of fire is drawn on your client.
