As was stated in the information released at the time announcement of the deadline, if your map is selected you will be notified and become a playtester (so you can see your map in action, and make the appropriate changes.)
i think that the pple who had to be notified are already PTing

Well, I can't imagine that Flay and Co. are going to have enough time to respond to everyone that sent something -but didn't make it- and explain why. They're nice guys though so you never know.
Actually, as far as I know, it will be a matter of *if* you are notified, not when. These guys rock, and would probably respond to each and everyone one of you during normal conditions, but they're a tad busy lately, so I wouldn't hold my breath for a response. If your level is picked, you'll certainly know about it. Until then, just assume it didn't. For the sake of sanity on both sides.

By saying this, I'm not trying to give anyone a false sense of hope, I'm just saying this because this is what I know. Take this as you will. Well, some of the maps that have been chosen to be playtested still have not been playtested. There are at least 2 maps still to be tested (though both map authors are already playtesters, sorry), and there may possibly be more to come (though not definitely).
I think that, more than anything, you need to look at this is a different way. The standard for NS maps has been set really, really high. Much higher than any other mod I've ever seen before. As a result, just about all of the maps that are being playtested and have been chosen to be playtested have been in the works for many months. NS is also a very difficult mod to map for because of the numerous layout considerations that need to be taken into account. I know that it's hard for someone to try and make a map layout without playing the game, and I agree. But it isn't impossible. Relic and Merkabe both succeeded in making magnificent layouts without ever having played the game themselves.
Basically, what I'm trying to say is it takes a certain something to be an official NS map. I'm sure you're all good mappers, and I'm sure you could make great maps for NS (and anyu other mod for that matter). But even in the Olympics, not everyone gets a medal.
greedo, i can only say you're true 100% in wut youve said. Ive been working on my map for about 2 months and i know it sucks alot. just watching narby, ken, relic, merkaba or KFS screenshots shows all of us newbie mappers wut we can get to do, wut with lots of work in between. The only thing i was looking on sending my map to the deadline thing was for them to play my map, and if i get some critic about it from the pple who made NS then its the best critic that anyone can get for their maps. If dont recieve anything then i will just continue working on my map for the 1.1 release.
